Green Wing Signing 15th October 2007

Postby chatterbox » Mon Sep 24, 2007 4:14 pm

FQ posted this message over in the GW thread

"Oriane Messina (one of the writers) has posted this event info on Facebook:

Monday, October 15, 2007
Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Location: Virgin Megastore, Piccadilly Circus, London

Steve, Mark, Oli and Karl will be there. Julian and Tamsin TBC.

This isn't up on the Virgin Megastores website yet but I think we can take it pretty much as confirmed seeing as one of the writers knows about it!"

Obviously Julian isn't confirmed yet, but I am planning go anyway. I intend to arrive in London early afternoon and have a late lunch before heading over to Virgin in plenty of time for the signing.

If anyone fancies meeting up and making an afternoon of it, let me know.

Well there's a group of us getting the train from Manchester that gets into Euston at 14.26, so we'll definitely be around after that. I have your number Kim so I'm sure we'll be able to co-ordinate meeting up. :)

I'm coming! Hurray! I arrive at Kings Cross at midday and then leave at 11am the next. I'm a bit worried though because i have no accomodation. Can anyone help me out? =P
This just wasn't something i could miss out on. What time would we meet for late lunch? I wanted to if i had time pay a quick visit to the british museum for an hour to check out something my history teacher told me about but what time should we be at the stores by?

Thanks =)

I'd love to come to any and all of the meet ups being planned but having just gone back to uni (12 years after the first time - eep!) I need all the spare cash I can get for books and stuff.

Hope you all have a fab time though, and I'm looking forward to all the reports and pics that you can provide on here!

Aw no, that's rubbish Ali! There may be something for the S2 scriptbook though so you shouldn't lose all hope yet. :)

I'm in the same position, although my first time at uni was more than 12 years ago (now I feel old!).

Those of us not able to go will need lots of photos and details, so don't forget your cameras - I'm so jealous!

Hehe. I didn't find out about GW until a month after last January's signing and i reeeeeeeeeallly don't want to miss out on anything. I have to go! hehe. I won't tell my history teacher though. I'll have to fake coming down with something on the thursday or friday beforehand to excuse being off. Mum said she'll phone in sick for me =P

Listen guys I really don't mean to sound presumptious but is there anyone going who I could possible stay with that night, either in home or shared hotel room? It's just I'm a bit strapped and a payment i was supposed to get has just crashed through for two weeks and mam still wants me to pay this month's phone bill, and unshared hotels are quite expensive. I'd still pay you, i just wouldn't be able to afford like the £50 of a hotel room. Otherwise, does anyone know anywhere cheap and safe, and relitavely close to the venue that i could book a room at?

Thanks lots,

I live out in Hampshire, so wouldn't be much use to you, and I think most people are travelling there and back in a day. Is there any way you can amend your train ticket to one going back late the same night? The cost of any change might be less than the cost of a hotel.

It will be great to meet everyone that can make it. :D :D

Pm me if you want my mobile number to help with meeting up, although I imagine a large group of women all chatting nineteen to the dozen will be pretty hard to miss!
