I'm entirely with you on that one, jrt patch!!!
Going to see LWW over and over has bankrupted me so I'm renting it, too. Luckily, I don't have to pay anything for it because I received a LOVEFiLM voucher which entitles me to 6 free DVD rentals and 750 points on my Boots card!!!

Woo! Mine came today! Although...the free mini rabbit keyring that came with it doesn't appear to work...oh well.

There aren't many extras...I didn't watch them properly but there aren't any with Julian in as far as I can tell. A lot of them are just extended interviews and outtakes with people like Germaine Greer who they got involved.

SPOILERS:

...I'm still fairly sure Julian is wearing flesh coloured pants in that scene towards the end where he's supposedly only wearing a shirt (I paused and freeze-framed the DVD - purely for scientific purposes of course! ). Ooh and I'd forgotten that there's the inevitable scene where he's eating a banana! Also, beardy Tom Hollander doing an American accent and then driving off down a corridor on a motorised scooter is hilarious...and then in the credits he whacks a vibrator on a cactus by mistake and goes "ooh"! Hehehe.

it has been so long since i ordered it i was completely non-plussed by the package that awaited me last night. Here's me thinking it was the "bear in the big blue house" i'd ordered off amazon, but there seeemd to be an extra "lump" in the jiffy envelope! Yep, i also got a little "extra"!! Faeriequeen - you might want to put the batteries supplied into it - it works then! DH rather bemused (and possibly scared??) of it!

Anyhow, put the DVD on, i have to say, i found it rather dull....the JRT bits are of course well done, tara is very good, very believable, it seems to me JRT and Tara worked very well together and made the aboslute best of what they had to work with, but the film as a whole, a disappointment. Sad to say. As for the freebie - maybe that will make up for it??

I'm sure it will, Tracy. Amazon, Play.com et al seem to have suddenly and collectively got their act together.

Sounds like the critics were spot on, wallaby!
Luckily for the producer/director we'll buy anything that features Julian for the briefest of moments whether the film is good overall or not.

Is the keyring merely a miniature Rampant Rabbit, then?

Hmm, time to pay Blockbusters another visit.....

(whistles nonchalantly to herself as she strolls up the road)

will have to view this before the summer hols (mummy what is that lady doing? what's that buzzzing noise....) and certainly when the eldest is out shoplifting in Knightsbridge ( oh FFS, Mother, not HIM again.....) and definitely when HE isn't there (get that crap off, I want to watch Newsnight).

Yes I did do that...I'm not a complete moron! :P
Tried it with both sets of the 3 batteries and still nothing...so it looks like I've just got a dud. :(

Same carrier pidgeon's got mine G & C.
I had a little chuckle at the Blockbuster scenario. I can get free DVD's from Blockbuster as my daughter's boyfriend has a part time job there. Staff get 10 free DVD's a week to watch and they are allowed to give some of their quota to friends and relatives, but I don't think I could face giving it him to book out!. The lad is very popular with my children's cousins though - re the free dvd's

well the carrier pigeon made it to Hereford at 7.05 this morning when I was rudely woken up by a thud through my letterbox. I was well annoyed given i've been on 4 hours sleep a night for the last 10 days. All was forgiven when I discovered Julian had come through my letterbox, so to speak.

Already managed to watch it , well forward too his bits, well certain ones anyway as I'm at the theatre til 1. The pigeon was last seen heading in the direction of West Brom so here's hoping you get your's today Baggie.

PS anyone watch Diezel(??) and Pascoe last night the stupid hours finally took their toll and I fell asleep on the couch complete with glass of wine at 9.30 and missed who did it. If you know could you PM me just in case anyone else hasn't seen it yet, don't want to spoil it for them. Thanks

I had added "Rabbit Fever" to my rental list with "Amazon" ages ago and it said "released 11th June" and now it says "very long wait!"..........aaarrrrrghh! damn it! - I wanted to watch it before going to the National so I could then get a copy and then get Jules to sign out but looks like it will be a no-go!! But from what a couple of you said, earlier on - (Soz- can't remember who?) he might be rather embarassed if we ask?! so perhaps I'll get my copy of "the Rotter's Club" signed (thats if I ever get it from the bloody ebay seller who hasn't send it yet!! - FQ : I will still take you up on your offer 'cos, I don't think I will ever see the copy I won - I'll let you know otherwise!!)

So you lucky B*****DS who have got your copies already!!....I'd wish the "carrier pigeon" would head to Dorset?!!!!!!!

That sucks, Tracy! :(
I think said pigeon should be shot on sight - well, once its precious cargo has been retrieved, of course.

Watched Rabbit Fever for the umpteenth time (but for the first time with my husband and without forwarding to just Julian/Tara's bits [also a first, obviously!]) and he enjoyed it!!!

He said: "That was a lot better than I expected it to be!"
Men, eh? They're such simple creatures, aren't they?

Amazon let me down, too, you know!

I had it on my rental list for aaaaages because it was the affordable option and then my Rental by Post membership ended so that was that! They're usually very good so I was exceedingly miffed, to say the very least!

It's also on my wish list and it says "In stock" underneath it so go figure. :??:

So Chi, what's your professional opinion...flesh coloured pants or no flesh coloured pants?
