I listened yesterday afternoon & thought Julian was superb. Quite right that he got the "lion's" (?!

) share of the dialogue too! Both his voices/accents for J. & Montmorency, I thought, were inspired.
It's a charming book & was beautifully dramatised for radio. Hugh Dennis & Steve Punt gave a good account of themselves too, but I think JRT was definitely the star!
Can't wait for the next episode!

" A few very charming ladies down at my Dad's whist drive have been very kind (average age 75-93). My brother is the headmaster of a special school and I know some of his dinner ladies have been very kind to me as well. "
