I've seen him twice before and he is one of the best anyway me and mini macs mum are going tickets £16.50 let me know if anyone else wants to come. If it doesn't sell out I get 2 free tickets too!!
Only one problem you have to come to Hereford

I went to see Bill Bailey too - i forgot to tell you all - the show was class and i blagged my way backstage and met him and it was filmed for the DVD. So that'll be class if it's used. He signed the manga him i drew and my Black Books series 3. Now i've got all of them signed! first by Dylan, then Tamsin signed my second series, then this one! Hooray! He drew a moustahe on Tamsin Greig. Hehe.
I met Jimmy Carr too. He was wearing a silk shirt. I've really gotten into his comedy lately... when he first appeared hosting random channel 4 things i wanted to smack his stupid face but now i really like him XD

I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.
You might all ostracise me for saying this... but does anybody think that the Irish comedian Patrick Kielty looks a teeny tiny bit like Julian??
I was watching live at the apollo on Monday and just for split seconds from certain angles he just reminded me of Julian!!

Mac: How are the people of Insania without their Mighty Queen?
Sue White: Oh well you know, they're alright. I left them post-it notes with instructions.

So I went to Orangaid Comedy night last night (posted a link to it in "Greatest Comedy actors (?) ) at the the Lyceum Theatre and it was a night of pure entertainment and laughter! - just what me and my brother needed (he has just moved house and i've been off work and a bit low - to say the least!)
Anyway, it was a pretty good line up including - Russell Howard, Chrissie Hynde (ok so she's not a comedian but it was rather funny when she forgot to plug her guitar in - only realised after the first song so we had to promp her to 'unplug' at the end ) Some massively tall Irish fella called Brendan...? who was very funny - he did a "Whose line is it anyway" type-sketch when he asked what accent shall he speak in and about what - the response was talk in Polish about Bus routes and beetroot so Brendan played the Polish-speaking person and the host (bald man from Newcastle - has appeared on "Never mind the Buzzcocks" but, can't remember his name!) played the interpreter - I was in stitches!
There was an Iranian woman too.
The icing on the cake was when Bill Bailey appeared (as the main act) on stage with his usual guitar and keyboard waiting to be used - very, very funny! Did an Elvis song with Chrissie too.
A top evening and all for a good cause - the Sumatran Orangutang Society! Those Apes need our help!

Hey Link - good to see you posting back on here - how's the physio going? I hope you are feeling better?!
Anyway, the comedy night was at the Lyceum Theatre - at the far end of the Strand (where the Lion King is being shown)
Just looked at the line up on the Orangutan Site :
http://www.orangutans-sos.org/news/60_o ... ve-success
and the Comedian I was talking about was Brendan Dempsey and the evening raised over £20,000!!!

While having a debate with Jakes father yesterday as he talked throught the end of the Russell Howard show because he doesn't think he's funny and I do, my sister pointed out his new tour dates.
Anyone fancy coming? For those of us around the Midlands ( farmer country) the options are The Alexandra Birmingham, Townhall Cheltenham or the place I saw Muse at in Bristol ( Russells hometown) the dates are oct and nov.

So much for the weekend idea apparently he's only doing the BIG cities then not farmer land. So our options are
Sun 26 oct Birmingham Alexandra
thurs 6th nov Bristol Colston Halls
thurs 27th Nov Cheltenham
Got to admit the 1st 2 are better venues from what I remember of seeing Stewart Lee at the Town Hall. Plus I might be taking the small fraise blonde one to Euro disney at the end of Nov. Let me know what you think

oh i love Russell Howard (not as much as my friend Hollie though) but i do have to say that when I saw Noel Fielding live at the Chapel Jon Richardson was MCing and even on the radio show I find him slightly funnier. in many ways I prefer him to russell but I do love them both
I should be in newcastle by then so I may try and go somewhere near there...
