spent sunday at a wedding fair in a marquee in the Forest of Dean. Got up at 5 to pack the car. Drove to the forest in rain set up in rain spent 7 hours talking to silly women who want to get married ( i have the wrong job don't I ). We had terential (??) rain all day the marquee leaked. Then took down at 5pm in darkness and rain.
Was happily driving home in snow by this point and total darkness when I came round a bend ( all the forest roads are very bendy) when my mum suddenly shouted "SHEEP" at me , as there was a flock in the road.
Bless her she then started laughing and going on about Mac and Guy
I think she's almost as obsessed as me

I was angry at the spaced thing too, it's all very well making an american version (although the true englishness of spaced makes it so great so I don't get how that would work) but the fact that they didn't actually contact Jess, Simon or Edgar about it is just plain out of order IMO. I mean come on don't they own the rights to the show and so if it was to be re-made they would still need permission right as if it turns out to be crap then spaced will get attacked for it which should never happen to an amazing show!
sorry rant over now...

That's really crap FQ.
People who steal REALLY make me sick. When I worked in retail I (somewhat stupidly, but I was blinded by anger at the time) confronted some good-for-nothing who was trying to steal from our safe. I was so angry I was shaking and could hardly speak. Why people think they can go around taking others' stuff and not take responsibility for their own lives I will never know.
Hope your housemates didn't lose too much and you are all OK.

Thats horrible FQ, I'm really sorry to hear that, is your house not secure enough? You should get onto your landlord to have it made more secure. I'm with Maisie on this one, I hate the idea of other people going through your things & just helping themselves to anything they want.
Even being insured doesn't make up for all the stuff you lose when a laptop is stolen.

No our house is actually pretty good...they just climbed up a bit of a sneaky way and forced a window at the back. There's a few things that could be done to make it better though, so we're going to get the landlord onto that. We can all actually lock our bedroom doors but haven't been doing it...which is bad, but you just forget. At least we're good about the alarm as that's what scared them off in the end.

how long does it take for someone to stop singing "it's a small world" when they wake up. For god's sake I've been home for 4 days!!!
Had x trouble on fri and sat night throwing fence panels into the street (they were waiting to be put up) smashing a pile of roof tiles by my back door etc. Well assuming it's the X would hate to think I've pissed anyone else off that much!
Very good looking Policeman cxalled on me sat and sun morning to see if I was ok

Good grief - HOW annoyed would you be? If it was me the postman would be in serious personal danger!

hee hee! We have a Mangan Mews in Newbury which always makes me smile, but Caramac Drive is genius
On a techie note - I've just got myself a livejournal account (which may be a really bad idea considering how much time I spend on Facebook) because I use comms like ihasatardis and the greenwing one quite a bit, but I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it now! Because I've never commented on any entries (not having an account until now) I don't really know about the etiquette of LJ and how to go about friending people (not that any of my reallife friends would know LJ if it came up and bopped them on the nose so I'll have to stalk cyberpeople whose entries I like!!) and crediting icons etc. Does anyone with more tech skillz have any tips?

I used to live near a Julian's Road and that always cheered me up even when I had had a lousy day at work - always made me think of a certain fraise-blonde!
Thankyou Maisie for the banner
