Please don't give up on men. Men in cars are not a normal breed, as soon as they get out, they can become normal. It takes a woman to use common sense and help.
You have to order the man you want mentally and eventually he will appear.... no it cannot be JRT but it could be a close match.
He is out there and he's desperately searching for you, may take a while but he's out there.

Have you thought about cosmic ordering? It's worth a try. I've given all my friends copies of the original cosmic ordering book by Barbel Moher (I think that's her name) You can buy it from Cygnus books who are a bunch of old hippies selling books in Deepest Wales via mail order, although they do have a shop in Lampeter. Everything is mightily reduced. The book is translated from German, so at least you'll have a laugh at the quaintness of it.
No results yet reported from friends, and I haven't really given it a go yet - it's hidden under a whole pile of diet/self help/goodness knows what books at the moment and I can't find it.
Go on it could be the best £3.50 (plus p&p that you'll ever spend)

That's so strange as I was going to put "have you tried Cosmic Ordering?" but didn't know enough about it so put Order him instead!
You know what men are like, they don't read maps and probably don't have the right download on their Sat Navs for women, so you have to send your message out there and they'll find you somehow, not that having a man is the be all and end all, but they do come in handy sometimes!
Good luck x

No worries - I haven't quite reached that stage yet! After all, we're all devoted here to a lovely example of the species aren't we?
Have you thought about cosmic ordering?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I must admit to being a bit of a sceptic about these things, although there's something to be said for a positive outlook on life. Maybe its the Noel Edmonds association that puts me off! I'll give it some thought though, promise!

Not doing the cosmic ordering again. Went through a phase about 8 years ago fancying Flea from RHCP after meeting him in a club in LA then met the X who was the spitting image of Flea including the body ( not that I'm shallow)
Turns out he was his slightly more mentally unstable lookalike.
Then spot Julian and instantly find the Julian look a like plumber, who sadly came with the looks but not the personality
So at this rate I'll go out and find a bloke who looks like John Cusack but with a major personality/mental stability problem

I decided a long time ago not to have a type as I would be limiting myself too much. My ex boyfriends have varied in height and looks quite a lot. One did look like a pitbull terrier, but we won't dwell on that one! The one before my husband looked very much like JRT but we disliked each other a lot, took 5 years to realise it.
I met my husband at 26 and married him when I was 31. He looks the spit of Mr Tumble off CBeebies (some with younger kids will know who that is) and I think once you've been through a whole batch of totally crap men, one will pop up most unexpectedly who will sweep you off your feet and you'll live happily ever after. You may be 87 and in a home at the time, but it'll happen one day.....

just got the vets bill for my dearly departed Muse and I'm now officially broke plus I need a car and Boo and the kittens all need their yearly shots so I no longer care what the bloke looks like but he either needs to be a vet, car dealer or loaded

" A few very charming ladies down at my Dad's whist drive have been very kind (average age 75-93). My brother is the headmaster of a special school and I know some of his dinner ladies have been very kind to me as well. "
Look, I know this cosmic ordering lark is completely barking, but we're mostly women. Of a certain age. And by definition we ARE completely barking. And I agree, the Noel Edmonds association is very creepy, but still, why don't we give it a go?
What have we got to lose?
I will dig my copy out and issue instructions. It'll be a good excuse to tidy up the back of the wardrobe.

I didn't know where to post this excerpt from the British Sitcom Guide Newsletter but here goes:
"Cult C4 sitcom Spaced is being re-made for an American audience by Will and Grace writer and producer Adam Barr. Fans of the show have, in the main, been far from pleased about this news. Spaced director Edgar Wright is very cross - he is "infuriated", stating on his blog that neither he, Simon Pegg or Jessica Stevenson (now Hynes) were so much as contacted about the deal, let alone consulted. In fact, the first they heard of it was through the press, like everyone else."
How dare they?!!!

Yeah this surfaced a week or so ago...as far I as I was aware most people think it's a sh*te idea! It was great at the Spaced day on Saturday though as any time it got mentioned there'd be a huge "Boooooo!" from the audience.
It's just so rude of them not to even bother contacting Edgar, Simon or Jess...I mean Edgar found out about it from an article in Variety!

If you watch the weather on BBC this morning you'll know there's freezing fog in Worcester, Gloucester and Shropshire. They seemed to forget Hereford ( well they always do!!) but I couldn't see out of my window this morning.
Then had to walk to work cos still no car and now I'm sat directly in front of the theatre doors which normally don't open when you walk at them, but when it's bloody cold they do nothing but open and close shooting an artic blast at me.
I've got a vest top , top , blk zip up cardi and a thick fleece on and I'm freezing. On top of that everyone from the offices upstairs keep appearing and going God it's artic down here , like we hadn't noticed.
On the plus side went to the meet and greet with the panto cast this morning and got chatting to the very nice good looking actor playing the Prince
