Fret not! we'll think of something, we've got the date in our diaries, that's what matters.
Any news of how we can make our contribution yet?

I'll email/text everyone about how to pay once I've handed the form into the pub at the weekend. But it'll either be by cheque, online bank transfer or paypal. And it's £5. :)

DON'T PANIC!!

She may be away over New Year anyway, its just when I was talking to her and Fay on Monday, it was evident they enjoy meeting folks like us and were a bit annoyed at that short 'virgin' woman who was keeping everyone back, so if it goes ahead and if she is around I think she would come.........and wouldn't that be rather grand! :D

would be great - they are such nice people, even if they could join us for a drink beforehand.

PROBLEMS: my parents are not happy with me paying the hire fee and you lot paying me back as they say it's unfair because I'm a student and they'll have to bail me out when I don't have enough money...so unless someone is able to come to the rescue then it looks like this may not be happening anymore.

If anyone is willing to step in and has a fax machine then I can email a copy of the booking form to you and then you can fax it to the pub to secure the booking.

I'll do it FQ, now I am properly online again I can cope with it. I agree with your parents actually, I never thought it was right that a student should have to put up the money like that.

FQ that makes sense my parents have been touchy about me buying tickets for things lately so they are doing to same sort of thing, well done for organising it all in the first place though

Thanks Rita, I've been rather busy and only skimmed over many of the indexes trying to keep up to date and hadn't realised about FQ being a student. But I also agree she shouldn't have been left to do it - although I'm ashamed to say, I didn't offer any help.

FQ is still organising this, so all money etc should be sent to her, all I did was put up the money up front for the pub, and I'll get it back as soon as everyone has paid....I'm sure that won't take long!

Sorry Rita, got it wrong again :?
This is the first day I've had in a fortnight to sit and properly read all the posts. All the lads are at a tool fair - yes I was invited but (yawn) I decided to catch up on a few more important jobs.

Aw, man.... that sounds like it'd be *such* fun. But alas I can't afford it as I've had one too many trips to London to see Julian this year (i know though, he's worth it XD) so i don't think it would be sensible for me to fork out for accomodation or a taxi home in the middle of the night from the train station. but I am much jealous! I'll definitely try to make the next thing like this that you do though.... =D
I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.

CONFIRMED!

I went down to the pub today and sorted everything out. The room is smaller than I thought but they said they can fit a maximum of 25 people in...so Jazzer, Little Star & Rach - you will be able to come as you were the 1st three on the waiting list and I counted wrong before, so there were actually 22 people. I need your email addresses and mobile numbers ASAP. If anyone else has them could they please give them to me? I already have Little Star and Rach's emails though.

The people I talked to there all seemed very nice and helpful, which is good. There's a slight issue with the time period we have the room for though...

The woman said that that time of year can either still be really busy or completely dead, and if it's the former then we would only be able to have the room from either 1pm-6pm OR 6pm-11pm, rather than the full 1pm-11pm I wrote on the form. If we still wanted 1pm-11pm then we'd have to pay another £100. However, if it isn't busy then we can have the time we specified for just the single amount, so fingers crossed!

Basically, she will contact me nearer the time to clarify this and to sort out all the details, such as what menus we want and what we are going to be doing exactly, etc. So hurrah!

I will now email all the people whose contact details I do have to ask for the £5 you each owe me...then I will pay Rita back in full once you've all done that.

ETA: I am a moron - I have everyone's email addresses in a word doc on my laptop in Manchester...but I forgot to copy them to bring them down here! So I have emailed everyone that I do have...and everyone else will just have to wait til I'm back in Manc on Sat. Sorry!

Nice one FQ! - really looking forward to it now :D and am restraining myself so I don't watch any Green wing from now until then (it is going to be difficult as I get withdrawal symptoms after a while!) so that I don't remember it all and not laugh as much - although, it does make me howl every time so...

Well done, FQ - that means I can come up in the car. It's a great location - just near Borough Market and all the joys of the Southbank. A pity the Fashion Museum is now closed to the general public - that's worth a visit too.
Am so looking forward to this!
Who's bringing the DVDs???

....Does that mean that there will be enough time to watch all of GW? If not, perhaps we could all put down our favourites and go from there...
Mine are:
S1 - the "party" one (Ep 4?) and the last one and the "Slave Auction" one
S2 - Ep 1, 2 and the last one and...The Special
Its a tough decision as I lurve them all but If I'd have to pick then, they would be my favourites!
What about everyone else then?
