I know it hasn't been long since we talked about him but just as I was about to go to bed on friday Gross Point Blanc came on and I've found my John Cusack obsession has reappeared. I taped it and have watched it a few times already. Then I realised that the X Mr.G&C has either taken or thrown out the rest of my John Cusack DVD's. :x

Most likely thrown them out as he binned everything including my clothes!!!

Hey Minki - I am totally with you on the whole Kris Marshall thing - he's lovely (almost up there with our lovely Jules) - did you see him last night in "Catwalk Dogs"? OMG - he was looking soooo fitt! - pity it was a one-off and not a series but we do still have those BT ads to look forward to!

I casually taped Catwalk Dogs to watch another time. Loved all the trailers for it. He has turned out to be a lovely bloke and very JRT like. Saw Take That on Jonathan Ross on Friday. Was always a huge Gary Barlow fan but Howard looked particularly foxy.

Also loved Kris Marshall in 'Catwalk Dogs' last night...though I have to say I loved the dog more! My dog at home is exactly the same breed (fox terrier), awwww.

Oh yes, we watched that. For the dogs, of course, and because it was written by Simon Nye.

Why would there be any other reason?........

Me too! Although I'm not sure my obsession ever really went away as I keep fuelling it by watching GPB, America's Sweethearts, High Fidelity and Say Anything on a DVD loop - not at all unhealthy...

And another thing...

thanks maisie that was a lovely sight first thing in the morning at work :D

Decided to spend some of my hard earned money yesterday on rebuilding the John Cusack dvd collection the idiot binned

Bought Hi Fidelity ( which I watched last night) and Being John Malkowich(???) which I watched this morning til I had to come to work. They had Say Anything, Con Air and some movie I hadn't seen before with Morgan Freeman when he's in the woods with his son ( the name has slipped my mind) was going to get them but thought I was starting to look obsessed.

Is today to early to go back in and buy them??

I think its a bit too late to worry about being a bit of a fangirl Emm. Whilst you are buying John Cusack dvds don't forget 'Serendipity' which is a lovely bit of nonsense.

Oooh yes - Serendipity is a great piece of feel-good fluffyness! :) Although I wasn't that keen on Kate Beckinsale, but she's not really one of my favourite actresses.

Was thinking about it and I reckon John Cusack and Jules are quite similar really. Both not 'Hollywood' good-looking but quirkly cute and they get more gorgeous the more you watch them. Both do a great mix of comedy/ fluffy stuff and more serious 'arty' roles. Both are clearly intelligent and have a social and political conscience, are not afraid to say what they believe and promote their various causes. Both seem to be serial monogamists (!). Both have a really attractive turn of phrase and quirky way of talking that makes them even lovlier. And both seem to bring out the rabid fangirl in many a reasonable woman, rather than attracting screaming girly-types!

Here endeth the sensibleness - let the cross-Atlantic drooling resume!! :D

Well put Maisie! But may I also point out that I think Kris Marshall is a bit JRT like too - to quote you:

Just have to admit that we all have impeccable taste in men! but unfortunately all the worthy ones are always taken! Oh well C'est la Vie I s'pose.. :(

aw i cant believe i missed kris marshall i meant to record it! grr...
my own faves are Aidan Gillen (seeing him in glengarry glen ross in a few weeks-so excited!), David Tennant (blackpool, casanova and secret smile were genius), john simm and cillian murphy(any man who can do breakfast on pluto then the wind that shkes the barley is a brave man).
Not only do i find them all gorgeous in different ways, but they're talented yet don't court the whole 'fame' thing-so in a way, theyre not dissimilar to jules. Plus the hugely talented thing!!

Maisie that was wonderfully put. Actually bought say anything and american sweethearts as they only had one of each and they were only £6.99.

May have to buy the contract and Serendepity(??) which I've never seen because of kate Beckinsale ( although I'll watch anything with her dad in). They have those in another shop for the same price so may have to go to that one instead.

Feeling a bit flash with money at the moment as I've been asked to do 10 hours overtime this week plus just got collared for the panto costumes here.

Also like Julian having watched say anything last night John Cusack has got better looking with age
