Stupid question I know but as I haven't been to one of these before what sort of time is going to be ok to book return trip. I've got a train at 8.30 from paddington ( gets me home at 11.15) or one at 9.45 which won't get me back til 1.30am ( includes waiting at newport for 45 mins at 11.30)

Just don't want to book the 8.30 then have to leave before we meet them

Thats fantastic Ro, I am travelling in by train from France, so we are both quite mad!
I imagine we will all be arriving at Virgin between 4 and 5pm, I'll pm you my mobile so you can find us.

G&C - I'm sure some of the others can give you more information,but it probably depends on how near the front of the queue you are. It should be over by 9 I expect though, and if it ends earlier we can all go for ANOTHER drink and chat afterwards :roll:

Dear ducatilady yes we're mad, but it's for a good reason hehe
I even have to be back on tuesday because i work in the afternoon, so I just hope the return flight will be on scheduled time

Can I just say that I think you're all stark staring mad and completely wonderful?
To think I'm the one who lives nearest and I'm not even contemplating going up there - shame on me! Alas, I have other things on that day and can't make it.
Have a great time and I look forward to all the reports and photos.
Oh, of course JRT is going to be there - TS and DL will have written to him. That usually sorts him out. He knows his place.

LinkaNeo - I am coming up for the signing and as I have managed to swap shifts for tuesday too, I can stay the night on the monday - I have asked my brother if I can stay with him but haven't heard back yet (but I am sure its cool ) so if you still need a place to stay?!!!.....I am sure you could stay with me at mi bro's unless I hear otherwise!

Rita and I have put our heads together, for ways for us all to meet up during the day.

Whoo! My problems are solved. Jade has been kind enough to let me stay at hers. Hurray (big thanks to her mum, tooo - lolol!) Annabel thanks for your offer.

Meet-up wise, I want to pay a little visit to the British Museum first, my history teacher says it's great. But, I shouldn't be there for more than a couple of hours, so i should be able to meet you for coffee. Hurrah.

The signing doesn't start 'til 6, so what time do we leave the shop and head for Virgin?

Well queuing is likely to start some time after 4, so you would want to be there then if you want to be at the start of the queue, but it really depends how busy it is!

here's a quick one cos the theatre is manic full of 300 school kaids for some environmental show plus 200 old dears watching atonement and having their free coffee and pastry!

It was great he was there and yes he did recognise me when I was talking to Pippa he looked across and said" hi how are you nice to see you again". So obviously he doesn't mind me stalking him :wink:

I told him how mini mac had opened the back of the camera and ruined my last photo of him so being the true gent he is he said" what a shame of course you can have another photo" and threw himself over the table and grabbed me.

mini mac is very happy that Julian gave me another picture and is banned from touching the camera. Will finish the film on the new kitten(s?) on thurs. Had to leave for train which was delayed so I could have stayed to see if Tamsin arrived hoping someone managed to get something signed.

Only one problem it still hasn't cured the JRT obsession. You just about get it out of your system then you go and meet him again and he's so genuinly nice and amazed that we care and have made the effort again you find yourself getting in from London at 1.30 am and watching his dvd's. :roll:

It's his fault i can't find a man that I'm interested in he has set too high a standard that no man can live up to. It'll be his fault if I remain single with 3 cats for the rest of my life :roll:
