Well done with the pics as ever, FQ. Made it to the Stardust premiere but wasn't as early as Tutt-sweet, who had a really good spot and managed to get a word with Julian and a picture! I'll leave her to fill you in with the details.
I was next to the press photographers outside, but Julian headed straight past them when he arrived. On the plus side, I did get a close up view of GW's Sarah Alexander (she looked lovely and stopped to sign lots of autographs) and most of the other stars including Take That (aww, Mark's so small!). And John Simm snuck in too.

I did go to the Premiere & did speak very briefly to Julian- will post later as things are a bit hectic in the office at present!
Took a not very good pic [not v good as in not clear/professional standard- JRT was his usual gorgeous self!]- as I was somewhat squashed by blinking, screaming Take That fans!

Just a very hasty recount of last night’s Stardust premiere, as promised.
I got there about 2.45pm to stake my claim to one of the best vantage points- didn’t want to miss out on ‘our hero’ on a West End premiere after all!
After a leg aching 4 hours standing & waiting, the cast & stars started to arrive, Ricky Gervais arrived first & spent ages talking & chatting to people [am I being cruel in saying that I think he loves himself a bit too much?!]. Then they all seemed to arrive in a bit of a rush.
As I was really only interested in seeing Julian [& Mark& Sarah] I didn’t take too much notice of many of the other celebs [& there were plenty]…..tho I have to say that Claudia Schiffer is really & genuinely very beautiful [close up]. Jonathan Ross was a laugh & was as ever accompanied by his 'colourful' family. Michelle Pfeiffer was much in demand & breezed past inches from me looking really gorgeous. The young star Charlie Cox [who plays Tristan in the film] was very sweet too & had to be dragged away from signing so many autographs! [enjoy it while you can eh lad!] I didn't spot Mark, but glimpsed Sarah [looking fab] as she went through the doors. Neil Gaiman seemed very amused & surprised by all the attention he got too....tho' not many people realised he was the author.
Finally, as I was beginning to wonder whether JRT would actually turn up , I spotted the fraise blond locks at the far end of the line of celebs. He was accompanied by some other people that I took to be friends/relations, & also the lovely Jo. As he got closer, I did yell his name rather loudly [well, I had to make him hear me over all the Take That maniacs!] & he spotted me straightaway & dashed over to say Hi. Lots of other people wanted his autograph & photos, so I snatched a quick pic [not very good I admit.. but I was being severely squashed at the time!] whilst he was signing something for someone else. He came back to me after signing & reached over the barrier for a hug & kiss [which drew sharp intakes of breath from other envious ladies around me…sorry but I did smirk…a little! ] He took a marshmallow from my proffered bag & grinned cheekily at me! Well, I thought he could hardly carry in a whole bag of marshmallows into a Premiere, so I think the odd ‘taster’ was well received!
He looked very well & happy but as it all happened in about 20 seconds I only managed to say how lovely it was to see him again & that we hoped to see him on the 15th & that I hoped the film would be a huge success. With that, he had to dash back into line for the photographers, swishing the’ lion’s mane’ in my face as he went![bliss!]
That’s all really…but it was certainly worth the wait to see him & I think [hope] he appreciated that some of his fans had turned out to support him. Rosie was there too but was further down the line than me, so we kept texting each other to keep in touch!
I think Rita is kindly going to post the [not great!] photos I took, as I’m really snowed under at work today , so just haven’t had the time to twiddle about/enhance them at all.
See you all on the 15th I hope!

.....think I'd have sloshed him if he had've done!
You could have knocked me down with a feather when he reached over the barrier & kissed me [think he was really only after the hoard of marshmallows though!! ]

Good for you, Di - you lucky thing!
Oh, to have been a fly on the wall or actually, there in person ................... *sigh*
Just got back from the Stardust preview screening and boy, what a ride!!!
I'm not going to spoil it for everyone so all I can say is that Julian and the other ghosts had a small yet amusingly pivotal role.
It was so thoroughly enjoyable that I'd happily watch it again and again!
