Hehe. I am a bit of an English dork, I love it! I'm off to Lancaster in September to do English Language and Creative Writing *fingers crossed*

I used to want to be a journalist, for some kind of teenage magazine, like Cosmo Girl or something. However, being a massive comedy nerd also, my ideal job would now be as a sitcom/comedy show writer. Oh, and I'd love to write a screenplay too

Yeah if you know French or Spanish too then Italian isn't hard to understand.

I so dream of that. I wrote the beginnings of a screenplay last month about a girl taht works in a coffee shop and a comedian. By that, I mean I've outlined the entire plot in prose (with a few gaps where more could be added), but I never got around to scripting it. You can read it if you like; PM me your MSN address and I'll send it to you. I warn you though it's a whole 3 pages long

I study A-Level French and BTEC Media Studies. It's really good!

I would really love to be an actor one day, like for TV. I did it a bit when i was little cos it was mum's vocation but our agent sucked so she left him, but she was never very determined to do anything with her life (still isnt) and so never got another one, and now all of my contracts have expired so i can't join Equity
I was going to take performing arts but the department at my school *HATE* me, massively. I hope i can do something someday. =)

Maybe you could do it performing arts in your second A-level year, they can't hate you that much....can they?

hi everyone, i need advice.
my bestest friend ever has just been made to go to boarding school, after 2 days of this year at the school he's been at for 3 years. he hates it there (there being bryanston) and is all depressed and is only allowed a short time on the phone each day to talk to me. throughout the conversations we've had he's been crying or trying not too, and this is a boy that never ever cries. ever. i have noo idea what to say to him or advice to give him to cheer 'im up, so i was wondering if any of you went to boarding school, and would know what it's like or how to help?? i mean, he should settle after a while but i'm kinda worried about him. any ideas??

Boarding school is certainly not for everyone - you either love it or hate it and I hated it quite unreservedly!!! That said, I know a few of my friends began to really enjoy their time there after they got over their initial bouts of homesickness. I think he should let his parents know how he feels (if he hasn't already) and take it from there. Mind you, mine assured me I'd get used to it "like the other girls" and left me there for the full 6 years ..................... not that I'm bitter or mentally scarred or anything.
