JRT Site - onwards and upwards

Postby Jools » Sun Aug 05, 2007 7:17 pm

Dear All
I can't actually find the right words to express myself so forgive me as I plough on in.

As many of you are aware my life has taken on a rather busy and demanding schedule of late and has led me into some rather surreal situations.
Unfortunately (yes guys I know you can see it coming) I just don't have the time to give the site the dedication it requires.

So to ensure the quality and reputation of the site I shall be handing the reins over to Kim over the nest few weeks.
Please bear with us in this transition period as we faff around with files and the like. You may well experience both the site and forum going offline for days at a time - DON'T PANIC - all will be restored once your new webmistres gets her head round the finer points of html.
As always please give Kim as much help as possible as she gets to grip with the mini obession that is JRT love.

Finally a personal note from me....
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who supports the site, new and established, young and old (yes Rita that means you ;))
Thank you to those who came out of the woodwork in the early days and still remember the old style website and the many different forums.
Thank you to those new users who have found a corner of the net where ladies really do still sip their tea and play nice together.
and lastly a huge thank you to all of the JRT dedicated followers out there, but without meaning to single anyone out in particular to:
Chatterbox, Ducatiliady, Tutt-Sweet, Cello and BaggieB for all their support.

Have fun guys and as always keep the place tidy...oh and I'm not disappearing completely - I'll still be keeping an eye on you, so no hobnob crumbs you hear!

Love
Jools :)

dear Jools, my heart sank just reading the heading! I know your life has taken a different turn these last few months & quite understand that you no longer have enough spare time to run this site...but it won't be the same without you!
Happily we have Kim to take over the reins & I am sure we will all support her to the best of our ability.
Good luck in all your future endeavours & a million thanks for bringing us all together in the first place, this site has become a second home for many of us.
:thanks:

I am sorry it has come to you having to pass the "reins" over :( but may I just say (for a fairly new "newbie" to the site) what a terrific job you have done so far...and I am sure Kim will very much, carry on the good work and we shall of course , support her with her new exciting role!
Finally...best of luck to you!

That's such a shame, Jools but, naturally, you must do what's best for you. :(
You've made this site such a lovely place to congregate and collectively drool so thanks for that and good luck in your future pursuits. Don't be a stranger, now - do keep in touch every now and again!!! :GL:

Jools, sad to hear you're leaving us but completely understand that life moves on and we need to go with it. You can feel very proud of what you've achieved with this site, both in terms of the wealth of Julian-related information and the friendly atmosphere on the forum.

It's been lovely meeting you, good luck for the future and do pop back sometime to let us know how things are going.

Good luck to Kim, just shout if you need any help (you know what a resourceful bunch we are!).

Oh Jools, I'm so sorry that you won't be involved in the site anymore, but thank you, thank you so much for getting it all together in the first place. You've done a marvellous job & should be very proud of what you've achieved. We'll all miss you very much

However, life moves on for all of us & we just have to go with it, so I wish you the very best of luck with everything in the future.

I'm sure Kim will do a great job & we'll all try to help her as much as we can. Being a complete dolt with IT I'll not be much use, but I can try to keep morale high at least!! :)

I echo what Ducatilady said "a million thanks for bringing us all together in the first place, this site has become a second home for many of us" :foru:

Do keep in touch from time to time.

Much love & hugs xxx

No apologies required. We just owe you lots, and you have set a standard that I'm sure Kim will enjoy keeping. See you around though. Promise.

Also as a newcomer, I would like to thank you for allowing me to share the joy that is JRT, for all your hard work and for fuelling my sneaky obsession while at work.

Good luck in all that you do......... are you sneaking off to a deserted island with JRT as your reward for all your effort?

Thanks for all your hard work. You were brave enough to fill the nonsensical gap in the webmarket - how could there not be a fansite for JRT?
