Hello everyone - managed to catch everyone in Strada for a quick drink before my bookclub, which was great. Everyone was on fine form and looking forward to the last performance.
Celebrities spotted? Ooh - the youngest Cusack sister on her bike, Peter Davidson in Foyles, and Patterson Joseph outside the National - yes, he's soo shiny! Spitting Bunny and I got quite excited!

It's all quite quiet on the board at the moment....come on, what did you all get up to, you lot.

Well I had to go home. I had only been on the coach home for about 40 mins when a little girl threw up all over the floor! Cue the air con being put on the drivers window being opened.....result the smell still lingered and the coach was freezing

Thought I would post my account of last night here.... firstly, it was my birthday, so I was off to a good start! I had a last minute phone call from our newest member EmmaQ1, asking if she could meet us all, so I added her to our Strada group before I set off....

I wandered round to meet everyone coming out from the Cottesloe, and met Rosie followed by the others. As we walked past the stage door around to Strada, Julian came charging out, with motorbike helmet and jacket, said hello, then explained he was heading off to record a voice over... cue lots of worried fussing about wet roads and not getting enough to eat! At Strada we met with other regulars, and it was good to finally get to say hello to LinkaNeo, marinewarden and EmmaQ1. Spitting Bunny and JRT Patch joined up later for a quick drink as well. After the meal we headed around to the Cottesloe bar where Kitchengirl also tracked us down having taken a late booking and getting a front row seat!! Nice to meet you - hope your migraine is better

The play was wonderful as ever, and I really enjoyed the way everyone had sort of settled into their roles. The fight was obviously a case of making the most of the last one - they did make a mess. Although my favourite bit was just before the fight, when they were still eating and Tom noticed that Julian had curry up his sleeve - cue lots of distracted dabbing and wiping whilst they carried on talking - I suspect that the jumper is ruined though!

Afterwards, we all loitered about outside as usual, until Julian appeared, triggering a cheer.... and everyone began giving him gifts and getting him to sign as usual. Jason appeared, and Spitting Bunny accosted him and Joe Penhall, although I will let her tell that particular story... Then Pippa came out, and was lovely and chatty before heading off to the after show party. We headed off for a quick drink and home. What a lovely end to a very busy few months!

Also, I must say thanks to Di for organising a birthday card signed by Julian - looks very nice on my windowsill!!

Afterwards, we all loitered about outside as usual, until Julian appeared, triggering a cheer.... and everyone began giving him gifts and getting him to sign as usual. Jason appeared, and Spitting Bunny accosted him and Joe Penhall, although I will let her tell that particular story... Then Pippa came out, and was lovely and chatty before heading off to the after show party. We headed off for a quick drink and home. What a lovely end to a very busy few months!

It was great to catch up again with you all on Tuesday - a bit of a last minute decision on my part to go to the performance (bought my ticket on line late the night before). As K said, I was determined to get everything signed and called Jason back before he could get too far. Having signed my programme he asked if I would like his companion to sign it - I quipped that he could only if he was very important, to which he responded that he was only the playwrite

He was very nice and we chatted about how often our group had seen the play and the fact that he must be very pleased with such a full house on the last night. (I could only see two free seats in the theatre.) He is hoping it will not be too long before he has another play out but did not reveal anything.

It rounded off a lovely evening. I explained to my very (temporarily) impressed children that I had sat shoulder to shoulder with Doctor Who for two hours. (Impressed until they found out it was not David Tennant but Peter Davison. I was very happy to be sitting there though!)

Haha yeah if David Tennant had been there then I would've died from excitement I think!

Excellent story spitting Bunny and you got his autogaph and he didn't get the hump. Its pretty cool to get the authors signature I reckon.

Excellent story Bunny, wish I had realised that it was Joe Penhall with Jason, that would have been really cool to get his signature on the scriptbook!

Aw man, the playwright was there? Aw, man!
Hehe I was so totally hyped last night i didn't even ask for signatures and photographs at all. Heh! Oh well -I was just pleased to meet them all and tell them how fab they are =D

oh and chatterbox yes the curry spillage incident was most amusing!!

....I bet that has left a stain on that lovely green top of his now - oh well, we live and learn...If I had thought of it, at the time, I would have said, "Take your kit, sorry top, off.. (you see I would have been so giggerly girlish I would have said "kit" instead of "top - hehe )Julian and I will wash it for you and post it back (after using it as a pillow all night of course or is that going over the top. Nay - not me - hehe!)

Wasn't it a brown zippy top he wore in the play though...not the green one he was wearing when he came out to speak to us?

I vote brown as well - I remember thinking that the red sauce wouldn't show up too strongly - an embarrassingly prosaic thought when I should have been listening carefully to the issues under debate. I'm not admitting to wondering whether a stain devil would take the colour out though ......

It was all I could do to restrain myself from dashing on stage with a handful of tissues to clean him up!!

Well Ladies...I hold my head in shame , you are all indeed correct! - it was brown (I've just looked at my photo of that night)...shame on me for not noticing!

First of all ladies may I say how lovely it was to meet you in person(s) the other night, you are truly a smashing bunch.

Secondly i'm afraid to say my thoughts were "thank goodness it happened on the last night, that's one he won't bother keeping then!" Although I'm sure I remember being very impressed because I read somewhere that he does his own washing

But does he iron?!
