What a fantastic evening! Lucy (LinkaNeo) and I even went to the afterparty for about 5 minutes! Hee!
Basically Tom never came out of the stagedoor so Lucy couldn't give him the chocolates she'd made him so Pippa told us to go to the restaurant where they were all having a meal afterwards! So we were all like "oh god can we really do that?" but she was like "Yeah! He totally wouldn't mind". So we managed to find the place and got up the courage to go in even though it was upstairs in a private room so we had to kind of peek round corners sneakily. But when we went in I managed to tap Tom on the shoulder and he was really touched by the chocs and looked rather sheepish about sneaking out the back way! And he kissed Lucy twice on the cheek and shook our hands and offered us a spring roll!
So that was all rather surreal but bloody brilliant! I will try and write a proper report about the whole evening at some point tomorrow but now I'm off to bed!

Haha yes I did manage eventually!
Anyway, there's not that much more to tell really! The performance was fantastic as usual and obviously they were all really going for it as it was the last night. Julian & Tom's fight especially was really over the top and hilarious! Apparently Peter Davison was in the audience...didn't notice anyone else famous though.
Afterwards it didn't take long for him to come out of the stage door (wearing his black, red & white Ducati leather jacket as seen in GW - yum) and Lucy, Annabel (marinewarden) and I got shoved forward with our gifts and he seemed so touched and happy that we'd got him things! Though I'm still slightly miffed I didn't get a kiss!
Though in a way I'm quite glad he didn't read the card there and then because I would've been embarassed! Annabel said he looked really tired and he agreed so I said he needed to be awake for the afterparty later...so then he said he was getting a plane to Spain at 4.30am so he didn't think he'd have much time for sleeping!
Then he went and talked to everyone else and signed some things and posed for some pics and then went back inside and I assume went off to the restaurant out the back entrance because we didn't see him again til Lucy & I went in there.
Pippa & Jason also really loved the chocs Lucy gave them and that was when Pippa told us to go to the restaurant if Tom didn't come out. We didn't really know where it was but managed to find it...then the surrealness I reported above occured! And then Emm (Gosh&Crikey), Annabel, Lucy and I went to a bar and had a drink before going our separate ways.
So it was lovely to see everyone again and I can't wait for the next time we meet up!
Oh! And a few people saw him inbetween the performances as he had to rush off on his bike to do a voiceover and I think Rita told him to be careful riding his bike in the rain! LOL.

Excellent report as usual FQ! Thanks. Thanks also for making such an excellent job of his 'Thank You' card, you did a great job!
Glad you managed to 'catch' Tom after all..he's so shy isn't he? Mind you, seeing all of us outside the Stage Door would've put the frighteners on a lot of people I guess!
It was me who told Julian to take care on his bike. Being an ancient biker myself, I know how dangerous wet roads can be!
After the above comment & helping him put all his gifts etc into one bag rather than juggling them all as he tried to sign stuff, Julian called me 'Mum' ! Not quite the term of endearment I'd hoped for , but given my age, probably quote appropriate!!
Lovely to see everyone again, & also to meet a few new people too! We must all do it again in the not too distant future. Thanks to Kim [& Rita] for arrangements too.

As FQ and tutt-sweet have said, we met Julian at the stage door after the matinee performance and though he was pleased to see us (again! ), he was very apologetic because he had to dash off to record a voice-over in Soho and get back in time for the next performance.
He came out after the evening performance and was greeted with a fangirl cheer from us which he responded to by waving both arms above his head!
Presents and signatures changed hands and when it got to my turn he said: "Hello again!" to my utter embarrassment. I got ali2555's programme signed and told him she'd had to go on a charity run to help save the rhinos so he wrote her a special message. Here's a sneak preview for you, ali - I know you're dying to see it!!!
It'll be in the post soon, by the way!

I then handed him a bag and he said: "Aw, thank you- what's in it?" and I said: "The biggest slab of chocolate ever !". He looked in the bag, let out a "Wow!" and gave me a kiss!!!!
I'd have gone as red as a beetroot if it was humanly possible but I opted for a schoolgirlish squirm of pleasure instead!
I got Pippa to sign my programme/script and had to leave soon after but not before we'd waved Julian off.
All in all, it was a great end to a really fun three months. Being able to see Julian on a regular basis has been wonderful but meeting up with everyone has been tremendous fun and an absolute pleasure - we are a lovely bunch if I say so myself! I hope we all have another opportunity to meet up again soon - chatting online is nice but it just isn't as much fun!!!!!
Kim was paparazzi for the day and she took loads of photos which, I'm sure, will be up soon. May I apologize in advance for inadvertently ruining any of them with my constant gurning and general tomfoolery.

Lovely to meet some of you last night (good to finally put some names to faces) and wow what a performance they gave and as you said, FQ - the fight scene was hilarious!
Meeting Julian again was pretty brilliant too and of course, getting a kiss from him, another photo opportunity and able to give him a hug (he' s sooo cuddlerly - I didn't want to let go!) just was the best thing ever!!!!! - I'm still on cloud nine! - although I did feel a little bit of "anti-climax" when I got back home (was probably just tired) but, that soon changed when.....
(to put into G&C's words) "Julian had come, not once, not twice but three times through my letterbox (god thats sounds so wrong doesn't it?! but I couldn't resist!! - hehe ) in the form of "Rabbit Fever" (plus the free keyring) "black books" and I also got my green wing t-shirt transfer too and oh yes...not forgetting, the copies that FQ gave me too so looks like no time for an "anticlimax" as I have lots of JRT watching to do!!! Excellent!
Thankyou for organising the restaurant too and hopefully, see you all agin in the "not-too-distant" future!

It was lovely to meet you all last night, thank you for the warm welcome. I am so glad that I managed to get to see the last performance even though I should have been somewhere else! Julian was as lovely and as charming as ever.
Having been addicted to Julian for a while now getting to see him 'in the flesh' was a much needed fix. How high can one get on a Julian kiss?! I'm sure I can't get much higher. There appears to be no cure for this addiction so it's back to a daily dose in the form of a DVD or a CD to keep me going. Looking forward to seeing all of you again soon.

Lovely pictures bookgirl.
I'm really glad everyone had a good time on Tuesday -did anyone think they wouldn't?
I have already told my husband that the next time Julian is on stage (positive thinking!) NOTHING is going to stop me going; even if it means abandoning my children.
Does that make me a bad mother?

Hi everyone, I'm back! It was lovely to catch up with everyone again on tuesday, and especially nice to meet the 'newbies' who have finally come out of the closet!
FQ made a beautiful job of the thankyou card, I'd love to have seen his face when he read it, he'd be pretty emotional I think, he seemed really amazed at the constant support he has had from his fans. As he was being given more & more presents he was just speechless. heaven knows how he got them all home on his bike?
No wonder it takes him so long to answer fanmail, that guy works so hard. As was said, he fitted in a voiceover job in between performances on Tuesday ( he did tell us he'd be back in 45 minutes, but we were too busy eating to bother!!!!) Then he flew off to Spain a few hours later, NOT for a holiday (maybe to do the barclaycard ads?) then when he gets back next week, straight into filming Oliver.
Like FQ I didn't get a kiss either, even though I had made a 1000 miles round trip to see the last show I did get 2 kisses from Pippa, but its not quite the same!

well I left Hereford around 7am to get to London for 11. Jumped on the 1st tube to go to b&b in kings cross and instantly sat in a tunnel not going anywhere for 10-15 mins
On getting to Kings X was amused by the fact we were stopping opp the JULIAN HOUSE HOTEL. Then finally met Baggie at the national around 12.15 where she was sitting in a deckchair surrounded by school kids!!
Went to the bar and had a couple of drinks then off to see the play. We were in row F and had an amazing view during the fight scene, yes we could read the brand name on his underwear
They had altered a few bits and seemed to be really going for it for the last day. I hadn't thought it could get any better after the last performance I'd been to but I was wrong. Afterwards we met up by the stage door only for Julian to fall though it apologising for having to run off to do a voice over. Think we've finally foungd someone who works more hours than me. He told us he'd be back in 45 min we replied we were off to eat. Maybe we've seen him too many times as there was a time we'd have just waited in the rain.
The evening performance was just as good although very warm.He came out of the stage door to a cheer and after talking to some friends came and saw us. He did seem genuinly shocked by the card and presents and still doesn't seem to get why some of us have been so many times. He was as lovely as ever. In fact when a couple of us were waiting for him to come and sign things for us we were busy talking and hadn't really noticed he was by us. He sort of said do you want me for anything or shall I just go so we grabbed him quick. I got my In search of Elvis signed so mum won't be borrowing that again and had a photo taken . After his forum 'MUM' sorted out how he was going to carry everything on his bike and many comments of for God sake have a holiday he went off for the meal.
FQ, Link, Marine Warden and myself then went for a drink then headed our seperate ways home. All calling each other to say when we got home. See Julian should be proud of what considerate caring fans he has.
It was lovely to see you all and the resturant was a good substitution for Pizza Express. Nice to meet the new members too and can't wait for the next one.
