My Signed Photo

Postby Minki » Thu Jun 14, 2007 2:33 pm

Just when I thought I was getting over my JRT addiction, he goes and sends me a signed photo!

I had a quiet day in the office between Christmas and New Year and decided to write to JRT and ask for a signed photo. My letter was short and sweet. I waited and waited and decided that I would stop thinking about it. Yesterday, I opened an envelope to find a signed photo. He apologised on the back for the very long delay.

I hadn't told my husband that I'd written but I showed him my photo. He is trying to convince me that Julian has not written it and thinks I am very sad as I am a 37 year old Mum of one. I told him he is just jealous and have stuck Julian to my fridge so that he has to see it every time he opens the door.

Unfortunately, this means my obsession has returned.

I did think he has been very busy but cannot tell you how happy I was!

It's so lovely that it's not just a signed photo and that he took the time to put my name and a note on the back. Was grinning all day!

My husband made me tell my best friend that I'd written for a photo but I had to explain who JRT was as she's not a Green Wing fan. I think she was a little surprised.

He is lovely but I was weening myself off him. I haven't been on this website for months to try and ease it a little and now I'm back!

I'm at work when I'm looking and I seem to be spending all my time here.

I'm not even sure what it is about him but I keep going to the fridge to look!!!

I've got mine in a photo frame in my bedroom that used to hold my wedding picture. Somehow it looks better

My husband did ask if I was going to frame it and I said I was going to hang it above our bed. I am tempted to teach my daughter to say Daddy when she sees it though!

My husband says the J on the Julian on the front is different to the J on the back so that means he didn't write it and it was someone in the office.

His obviously jealousy is being ignored and although severe, I am not divorcing him as apart from this small blip, he is a lovely husband.

I have not shared the fact that I actually write on here but might threaten him with the wrath of all other JRT fans.

Haha someone's clearly a bit jealous!
If you really are worried about its authenticity then you could compare the writing with the pic I took of my signed photo on the thread I made.

Also, hopefully this means that all you other people waiting for replies will get one soon as one would assume he does them in batches. :)

My nephew painted me and Julian together at nursery and the women there asked his dad if that was his Aunty's new boyfriend as he called him Uncle Julian. His dad then had to explain about Aunty Emm's slight obsession with a certain actor and the photo I have with him.

It was very embaressing dropping him off to nursery the other day

I'm trying to stop laughing! I think you are on another level with your obsession and have made me feel so much better about mine.

I think it does mean that he will be sending out to everyone but 6 months was a long wait.

Next time you see him, offer your services as his PA or have you already done that???

Do you say it like a mantra? I am not obsessed, I am not obsessed....

I didn't know he'd split his trousers. Did you leap over the chairs to assist?

What are you going to do when the play finishes?

My photo is going pride of place in our newly refurbished downstairs toilet along with all the other autographed pictures we have. I'm thinking of having a plaque saying The Julian Rhind Tutt Suite

Mac V your putting Julian in the Loo!!!!!

I apparently have different priorities as I've put him in the bedroom. Then again that might be pushing the lovely Mr. Mac V too far if you did the same

Well Minki tell your husband someone in you office has been very busy coz guess what I got a lovely photo through the post today as well. I wrote to him in January and had given up the idea of ever getting a reply, until this morning when there was a lovely brown photo envelope awaiting me. Obviously I had forgotten all about writing to Julian so it was a big surprise this morning. Bless him I had sent an SAE but it seems the envelope i sent wasn't big enough so he has substituted my envelope for another but used my stamp. See brains as well as beauty. I think I may have looked like this :jd: when I opened my envelope this morning.
Bless him hje really is lovely.
