 Tell me about it - I never "got" him either. I'd love to watch POTC3, though, no matter how much the critics slate it. I've seen the first two and they're such good fun I couldn't give two hoots about the storyline!

Yes I went to see it in the cinema a couple of days ago and gave up on the storyline in the end and just enjoyed the amazing visuals...and Tom Hollander's fantastic acting!
Jack Davenport's not half bad either...

Haven't got anyone to go with at the moment though but I'm sure if I do end up on my own I'll make some new friends in the queue like I always do at these sorts of things!

Going back to the whole "other favourite actors" thingy...
I too like Damien Lewis - loved him in the "Forsythe Saga" and also LOVE Ioan Grufford - who is also in it (the chap in Hornblower, Titanic and more recently, "Amazing Grace") - he is SOOOOOOO FITTTT! - FWOAR!
Also have a bit of a "thing" for Rik Mayall (well perhaps not so much now as he is getting "on" a bit), don't ask me why but there is something about him - saw him LIVE in Bottom2 - hysterical!
Am I the only one with the whole Rik Mayall thingy then or are there others?!!.. probably not - lets just face it I'm weird.....

my sister has a thing for Rik Mayell.

Watched the most perfect TV yesterday the episode of Keen Eddie not only Julian but also Ray ( used to be in Corrie as a mechanic and strictly come dancing) it was the one with the clerk being shot at the begining.

According to my sisters I have a very strange and varied taste in men

I liked Rik Mayall until I met him. Having grown up watching him in comic strip etc I thought he was a bit of a god. He came to film in my place of work and he was somewhat of a diva, highly stung actor type. Everything anyone said he made into a double entendre which got vert boring very quickly. He would be an extremely high maintanence friend or partner. I went outside for a cigarette with him and he was a bit more normal but any whiff of an audience and hes away.
Thats why I'm so glad Julian is such a sweetie because meeting those you worship can set you up for great dissapointment!

..Well its a good thing that Julian has taken over from Rik Mayall in my "favourite famous person" perspective isn't it? or else I'll be very disappointed! - well I am a bit if I'm honest... but Julian is lovely and seems to really appreciate his fans - bless his cottons!

Mac V Robin Williams is just the same. I felt sorry for his poor wife when I met him because he'd only come to pick her up from her hat fitting and he just took over and it became about him :x

Well I got into the Hot Fuzztival in the end...getting up at 5am was so worth it! The live commentary they did to Hot Fuzz at the end of the day was absolutely brilliant...one of the best things I have ever sat through! AND I managed to get one of the free bags with a t-shirt inside that they chucked into the audience! :D

They had Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Edgar Wright, Paddy Considine, Kevin Eldon, Olivia Coleman and Bill Bailey doing the commentary so it was bound to be genius!

Ooh and also Edgar name-checks Julian and Steve on one of the commentaries on the Hot Fuzz DVD! That made me so excited as he's clearly a Green Wing fan! Although...the context of the comment was that he was saying he'd never be able to work with actors like Steve and Julian because he'd find it too hard to draw their hair on storyboards! LOL.
I wish he would work with them though...I'd actually die of happiness!

Okay, I've neglected here for long enough (too long!) because of exams and birthday and such, and have finally caught up! Just as my way of planting myself firmly back in forumland, I present two more "Just after Julian"-s ...

(I've posted url links, to avoid spam!)
Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Hills, comedian and adorable Aussie -->

And Daniel Boys, the-one-that-should-have-won-Any-Dream-Will-Do, and full of squishy-nosed gorgeousness -->

*waves* Hello, all!
