Hope you have a great time, guys! I can't wait either. 6 weeks for me! But i don't want it to fly: my exams are coming too and I'm starting to feel exam nerves. I've never been bad before :? have fun!!

or in my world 2 wedding dresses 5 bridesmaids 6 hats and a mums outfit. maybe i should go work now or i'll be hand sewing in the front row :D

Sorry ducatilady - if you were after an exclusive afternoon, we've sort of gatecrashed haven't we!! :D

LinkaNeo - good luck with the exams - some nerves are good for getting the adrenalin going I think! (The production I saw 6 times was Hamlet with Mark Rylance, another of my heroes, at the Globe - although standing tickets are only £5, so I feel I was justified!! :D)

Roll on next Tuesday for me, baggie, ducatilady, tutt-sweet, ch1ch1 and goshandcrikey!!!

I'm getting play withdrawal symptoms! It was so cool knowing I could just pop down and see him in the flesh! :(
I knew there was a reason why I should've stayed in London for uni...

Told you so. Haha! Oh well. I want to go to uni in London. I'm applying to three different ones so i've gotta be accepted into one of them! :D

I hope one day I can go on one of the big huge massive forum meety-uppy outings. It'll be well cool. Although you may all think I'm a total mentalist. :rofl:

Have managed to drag the other half away from his cricket game on Saturday and we're going to the matinee - only one more day to go :D

ps: he's not looking forward after watching the so called intellectuals discussing it on the Newsnight Review programme the other day :?

Advice please from all of you who have seen LWW already: would you take a 12 year old to it, albeit quite a bright one who watched CNN all the time on holiday and says he wants to run the UN when he grows up!

I'm less worried about bad language etc than adult emotions which he won't understand.

I probably would've still enjoyed it when I was 12, and a lot of the emotions aren't too hard to understand I think.

Cello, yes, my boys are 14 now, but I would have taken them at 12. I think if he is fairly astute and able to follow moral debates, he will be fine. It is at an adult level, and there are some subtle jokes which may pass him by, but that wouldn't spoil his enjoyment. The second half does become quite intense, but nothing a bright 12 year old can't cope with. Strong language at a GW level, and a few sexual references that might (just) earn a 15 at the cinema, but I doubt it these days...

That makes it all sound quite serious, but it is also great fun, so go for it!
