glad for everybody who saw the play, please continue with your reviews. I check this place every day for new ones.
For us deprived people who cant get even near UK, it is so nice to hear the latest.
GW went through Europe only last months with subtitles on local languages so there are many new fans of J. all over.

Rosie wrote:Saw LWW for the first time last night and it was great to meet up again with ducatilady and tutt-sweet. Really enjoyed the play - drama, comedy, pathos so well portrayed by all the actors.

BUT the best thing was meeting Julian afterwards. Jason Watkins, Pippa and Tom Hollander emerged one by one and signed programmes etc. Pippa was lovely and friendly as usual.

Then Julian appeared, looking very Mac-like in leather jacket and clutching his crash helmet (my heart went flutter!). He spent time signing stuff and chatting with everyone there and was so lovely. I think Di and Rita may have more to tell you about that.

A great and very memorable evening! :D

Excellent glad you had a good time.

Aw, I hope that I get to meet him in May. It's one of the last few nights so i hope they haven't gotten bored of the whole meet/greet thing. I'm so excited. My ticket arrived this morning through the post and i was all "EEEEEE!!! :D "
I'm trying not to read reviews in case i read spoilers. From what I've heard you quote though it sounds fantastic and I'm really looking forward. Is there only a cast of four? =P I'm curious of he nature of Tom throwing rice into Julian's face, though. :o
I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.

As Rosie said
Saw LWW for the first time last night and it was great to meet up again with ducatilady and tutt-sweet.

Well I think Rosie has it covered! A wonderfully enjoyable evening, made all the more special by being able to speak to Julian afterwards- if only very briefly.

The play is very good & extremely thought provoking- worryingly so. Tom Hollander is really excellent. His character's mental breakdown was immaculately portrayed. Julian was truly superb, as indeed he always is but there is a bit of something 'extra' in this particular performance I feel... perhaps it's because it's something that he is actually interested in himself? Pippa was great as the "matey one minute but steely the next" weapons procurement executive. I thought that Jason Watkins too was terrific as the menacing man from the ministry .

Rosie, your wasn't the only heart that fluttered when Julian appeared at the Stage Door in his leather jacket, carrying his crash helmet!! :swoon:

He is always so very polite & sweet to everyone despite the fact that I think he wanted to shoot off pretty smartly! He kindly smiled for numerous photos & happily signed anything put in front of him- even Rita's T shirt!

I just can't wait to see the play & JRT all over again on the 24th & again on the 5th May. Wonder if he'll be sick of the sight of us all by then?!..hope not! :D

Yes, there are only four people in the play, and I wouldn't want to spoil it for you, so I'm not going to say a word about the rice throwing :D

I'm sure you will have a good time.

Is there anyone who is yet to see the play and if so, when are they going? I'm on the brink of buying my second ticket (the first's for the 5th of May and I'm too impatient to wait that long!). I don't mind going on my own but I'd rather go with like-minded fangirls! :D

As of last night, so am I! :dh: My seat's EE-22 which means nothing at all apparently because the seating positions change depending on how many people there are on the day. Guess I'll see you there then, girls! :D

Excellent ch1ch1. Although I was reliably informed that row E and EE were the front row, so fingers crossed for that. You shall have to come and join us for a drink beforehand

ok think i'm getting a bit obsessive but anyone up for an evening performance (hang the expence of overnight accomadation in london) can you tell wedding season is getting busy and the bank account is looking better.

if not when is anyone else going in the evenings maybe i could just hook up with you before the show and at the interval (i'm assuming that there is one) and after if you're hanging around if you know what i mean

don't really want to hang out on my own :(
