Good for you, f_d_p! Nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that. That said, I'll have to see how my nerve holds up on the day! :D

Thanks ch1ch1! Lurking at the stage door is always good :D

faeriequeen - It was about 20 minutes before Pippa came out, then Julian and Tom about 10 minutes later.

How wonderful that you got to speak to the actors - we were outside for quite a while but think that they must have been having a post-show debrief as the writer was also there. I am jealous as well!

Ahh cool, I didn't see the writer there last night. They might have been in the bar for the de-brief

Oh wow, nice one f_d_p on meeting the actors! That's so cool. I'm a serial stagedoor lurker. I have my own spot outside City Hall that I always sit in. =D I hope I can pull it off this may. I'm desperately short on fund ATM though :?

I've found a tiny pic from the play of Julian and Tom here:

Hopefully there'll be some bigger ones floating around after the press night!

Well, I'm completely jealous of all of you who get to see the show, but thrilled that you have an opportunity for the experience.
Hopefully, when I get over there next year, there will be another show to attend.
Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!

The pic with the article is from the programme. There are a couple of very nice photos in there, but you'll they don't scan very well so you will have to wait until you go, or someone with a better scanner gets hold of them

The just started to run Green Wing series one on BBC Canada but you have to have digital cable and subscribe to it.
My sister's boyfriend is British so he watches BBC, listens to BBC (I've just started to download the Russell Brand posdcast) and he reads the Guardian online.
So, I'm kept in the loop and we have all 3 Green Wings on DVD.
My obsession is a secret though!

Oh my god... he DOES come to the stage door?

Fook. Fookety fook fook.

At least at the convention with Stephen Mangan, he didn't give me warning, he just appeared. But this? Jeesus....

When you were waiting outside to see him, how many people were there with you?

Eeeeee! I'm still on a high from earlier tonight! Julian is possibly the nicest man in the world ever! He hung around for ages talking to us and signing things and getting photos, and then even phoned up Tom for us to see if he was coming out soon!

I can't stop grinning. :D

I will write a proper review (with pics) tomorrow as the play itself was also fantastic and I need to do it proper justice!

I have to say that I was at the play this evening and it was truly superb, both performances and script, I will wait for fairiequeens review with interest. I'm afraid shyness prevents me from waiting at the stage door, I think I'd just go to pieces if I actually met Julian!

One great thing I noticed this evening was that Helen Mirren was in the audience. I found myself standing next to her in the bar! I thought it was fab that she was just going to the theatre with friends and having a drink in the bar with everyone else - no special treatment etc. What a star she is!

What a great evening all round, I'm going to have to go and see it again I think, maybe I'll have the nerve to wait for Julian next time.....
