Poor Jules has had to dye his lovely locks for a role.
Sorry, guys - I was too lost in his baby blues to ask what it was. I'm guessing it's for Miss Marple later this year.

my sister and i think that maybe it is for a bigger role (film or tv maybe) because it's odd being asked to dye your hair for only one episode.. and i think it's already been filmed too.
but it might just be for miss marple :?

someone who went to the BFI last night said

julian's hair is dyed for a show which he is working with stephen and john lloyd for.

i dont think it is miss marple because on wikipedia it doesn't say john lloyd on there... unless i have missed it!

I think that he would not have dyed or cut those beautiful locks for a small part [if you'll pardon the expression!]

From my front row seat at the BFI, he didn't look at all bad last night. He was obviously uncomfortable about the fuss being made over his appearance but I thought he looked very elfin like- the shorter hair making him seem quite fragile but still gorgeous :swoon:. After all , he is still our beloved Julian & even if he dyed himself green with red spots I'd still admire his work & him as a person.

John Lloyd hosted the very interesting & amusing discussion at the BFI last night, but I am not aware that JRT is working with him. Always possible of course, but nothing was mentioned. He is in an episode of Miss M, as are Stephen & Mark, but they are not in the same episode.

Aww, bless! It's so easy to take that level of interest the wrong way - I soooooo hope he didn't - I suppose because he's so modest and unaware of his sexy good looks and not exactly loving his new do (himself) at the moment, he would be uncomfortable. It's only hair, Julian - we still love you no matter how long, short dark or fraise-blond it is!

BTW, did anyone take photos? How did the event go? I'm dying to know!!!!!!!!

John Lloyd did say on wednesday night that he has been working with Stephen and Julian, but he didn't elaborate on it.

....Rita, I must have been day dreaming about JRT when John Llloyd said that. I totally missed it!

Wonder what it is...bet it's something amusing!...do hope so!

I think John Lloyd directed the Barclaycard ads. He certainly did the Rowan Atkinson ones from several years ago, and I believe the Jennifer Saunders ones too. So he gets hired to deal with celebrity comic actors/comedians essentially.

I suppressed that thought back into the tiny little cupboard at the back of my mind...

That's where most of my commonsensical thoughts end up before I speak...
