'Special' DVD signing on Monday 8th January

Okay, now that I've got my breath back here's my signing report:
Had a brief chat with Rosie, ducatilady and tutt-sweet beforehand but was too nervous to string coherent thoughts (let alone sentences!) together. It was nice meeting you girls; I'm not usually that quiet, Rosie - I was just so nervous about meeting Julian again!)
Julian was there wearing a beanie.
When it got to my turn, he looked up at me, smiled and lo and behold instantly melted my nerves away. I told him he looked cute in the hat and he gave me his killer smile again and said, "Thank you". I asked why he was wearing it and he pushed it back to reveal (shock-horror!) dark locks! He said he'd had to dye it for a job.
I gave him a bag of raspberry/vanilla marshmallows and he said, "Thank you, that's very kind of you". Stephen went, "Oooh what are they?" and Julian said, "They're a present from my friend here". I then made puppy dog eyes at him and said, "Would it be impertinent of me to ask for a kiss and a hug?"
He said, "Of course not" and promptly kissed me ON THE LIPS and gave me a hug
Needless to say, the other signings went by in a blur - sigh! Afterwards I floated away on a cloud of bliss all the way back to Northampton. It's official - I'm in lust, people!!!!
If my technical skills allow (or, indeed if the stupid camera actually worked this time
), I shall post my photos in due course.

I left without knowing that Julian was on his way so didn't even see him!

On the plus side, my dear daughter has not stopped smiling since getting a cuddle from Steve, so at least I'm in her good books.
Did you get pics of Julian with the dark hair? Can't imagine it!

I'm totally gutted to have missed Julian. 
Rita & I were 2nd in the queue & had been & gone by the time he arrived! [Wonder if he was trying to miss the photo call or just avoid us?!]
The security people were pretty officious with us & rushed me through so fast I didn't even have time to take any photos at all! I was NOT best pleased. They were obviously concerned that there were so many people to get through in a fairly short time frame & so rushed the people who were at the front of the queue through very quickly. I just wish I'd hung around a bit longer & would at least have seen Julian... but then again the security people were trying to get people away from the scene once they'd had their DVDs signed so that was also difficult.
Just have to hope that JRT turns up at the Convention...somehow I don't think he will though. Steve said he'd try to make it, but Pippa & Mark said they couldn't, & I can't recall what Karl said! Did anyone actually ask Julian if he was planning on going?

The security guards seemed to blow hot and cold from one minute to the next! They rushed the people at the front of the queue but when it came to my "section" (about 30 people in) they allowed (in some cases) up to 5 different items per person!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually overheard the security guard telling the people about 30 places behind me to hurry things up once they got there - it was all very inconsistent, really. The sad thing is the cast obliged everyone's requests (because they're all so lovely, bless them!) but then had to leave early (Julian, Pippa and Karl) which was quite unusual in itself (and unavoidable, I'm sure!!!) - especially as it was the last GW signing ever

I managed on the GW site - why-oh-why isn't it working here?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any ideas anyone? My poor wee brain is a frazzled mess! Here be dark, smouldering JRT goodness. Drink him in and enjoy!

My back really ached from standing all that time at the signing but it was so worth it. Mark and Stephen remembered me from the last signings, which was lovely. Julian's hair looks really nice! And he smelt gorgeous!
I was also really pleased to meet Karl Theobald and talk to Pippa Haywood a bit more than last time, who's a really lovely person.
