Thought you'd like that little treat Hells! Steve was just sooo lovely & couldn't have been sweeter when I asked if he'd mind having a few words with a poorly Webmistress! Hope you feel [Mark!] Heaps better now!??
It was great to meet up with Ducatilady, Chatterbox & Rosie again...who had all been waiting in the cold for about 90 minutes before I met up with them. Still, I'm sure Steve's smile warmed then all up! Pity Julian didn't manage to make it , but let's hope he was engaged in something profitable! [he missed out on some very nice marshmallows though!]
There were only about 80 odd people [guessing here!] at the signing so it was much more relaxed & Karl, Steve, Pippa & Mark had a bit more time & opportunity to chat...which they all seemed more than happy to do. It was also lovely to chat to writers Rob Harley, James Henry & Oriana Messina. It was just a pity, as it was their book really, that the Forbidden Planet people hadn't even given them a table to sit & sign at, like they had done for the actors! They were all very good natured about it though & happily signed copies leaning on other piles of other merchandise!
A very enjoyable lunchtime & I'll send Hells the photos to put on the website ...if they're good enough!!
In case of you lovely actors & writers read this, thank you so much for coming along . I know all of us GW fans were thrilled to meet you all again!

I am so terribly envious of you, but at the same time overjoyed that you had a fabulous time! I spent most of this afternoon since I spoke to you last in a state of ecstasy and I admit to telling every poor soul that happens to ring me!
Wish I could have met Ducatilady, Chatterbox & Rosie again *waves* but of course we will do come the next year
Tutt, Hopefully we'll be able to meet up in Dartford tomorrow. The boys are going to stay at their dad's for the weekend (apparantly he can handle sick kids for that amount of time, but we shall see) so I'll be free from about 10am onwards.
*still on cloud nine from the phone call*
hahaha

Not much to add from what Di has said, but this one had a very nice atmosphere - not so frenetic as the dvd signing, although I was very cold as they made us stand outside to wait! Everyone was very chatty, and I thought Mark Heap was extremely charming. The writers seemed to be doing a roaring trade in signing, so it was a great shame that they hadn't provided for them, although it was nice just to hang about and chat. I didn't take any photos this time, so I look forward to seeing the ones that others took.

A very nice atmosphere I agree Kim. Nice not to be shoved about by over zealous security people this time!
Steve was wonderful - I think he really enjoys meeting the fans & chatting. Mark Heap was extremely charming [& normal!] & most obliging when I asked him to pass a message to Pippa. Pippa was as lovely as ever & seemed so pleased to see everyone. Karl seemed a bit subdued I thought [tho' I don't know quite what I'd expected him to be like anyway] ..... perhaps overawed by Steve?!
All the writers that were there, Rob Harley, Oriane Messina & James Henry were delightful & happy to chat & sign anything that was put in front of them! Such nice people.
All in all, a very nice way to spend a Friday lunchtime & I can relive it all again tomorrow, when I go to see Hells & give her the signed copy of the book!

I hasten to add that the specs on the desk in front of Steve are mine & not his! I think he must have 20/20 vision through those lovely peepers!

Well I seem to be last to join in here, not surprising really. What a super day! It was so relaxed compared to the Virgin signing, the staff were really friendly, offering to take photos for everyone.
Tutt sweet & I hung around till the end, which wasn't actually very long, the whole signing was over in about 40 mins. Then we went back in and chatted to Steve for a while.
Hells, what a shock for you to find Steve on the end of the phone! wasn't he lovely to do that? That should certainly help your recovery.
Hope you don't mind me posting non Julian photos on here. All I could get out of Steve by the way was that Julian was busy having his hair extensions done..lol

Lovely pix Rita...much better than mine! Thanks for staying behind with me to chat to Steve ...not sure I'd have had the courage to ask him to speak to Hells on my own!
Lots about Steve on here today....do hope JRT isn't the jealous type?!![ think he knows we love him best tho' doesn't he?!]
Lovely to see you again & look forward to seeing you again in the New year....if not before.
Have a fab time at your 'Beatle' do......please give the other Mr [Dr?] McCartney my very best wishes! Hope H goes to Hell in a handcart!

When Tutt-sweet commented to Steve that it was a pity more people hadn't turned up for the signing, he said 'not at all! it means we have more time to spend with those that are here.' he seemed genuinely happy to be chatting with us. I loved the way he chatted to Hells on the phone, when he really didn't know who he was talking to.
Sorry again about the topic going off Julian, it would have been so nice if he had been there & we could have had some time with him as well.

Am really impressed with the pictures! Glad to hear that Steve's made Hells feel better - him and Julian should be available on the NHS.
available on the NHS?! how cool would that be? i think i would be ringing every 5 seconds though!
"owwwww, i'm in such pain i have a papercut, can you please put Julian Rhind-Tutt or Stehen Mangan on the phone please, i need to talk to them!!"
Glad to hear you all had an amazing time, and i wish i could've been there not only to meet the lovely actors of Green Wing, but to meet tutt sweet, chatterbox and ducatilady!
Maybe meet everyone in the near future!
