The Secret Policeman's Ball

Postby ducatilady » Sat Sep 30, 2006 8:26 pm

Apparently there is going to be a Secret Policeman's Ball at the Albert Hall on 14th

October, 'The Green Wing' is one of the acts appearing and I think Julian, Steve & Tamsin are going to be in it.

The tickets are almost sold out, but happily it is to be televised on the 22nd October.

Green Wing lives...YAH!!!!

Hope this link works, it lists Julian, Steve & Tamsin as appearing for Green wing
They are transmitting the show live to a few selected cinemas, the rest of us will have to wait for the channel 4 showing which is supposed to be on the 22nd October

I'm kind of hoping it isn't on this weekend because maybe then it'll be on in Halloween week when I'm back home again so I'll be able to see it! :P

I did read somewhere that it was going to be shown on the 22nd October, but as you say, its not in the listings. Maybe they need more time to edit it etc.

Yays! I'll be home then...although I'll be out probably seeing as it's Halloween. At least I won't have to worry about my parents not recording it properly if I can do it myself! :P

There's a lovely pic of Michelle, Julian, Steve and Tamsin in the new Radio Times for next week. They are pictured on stage at the 'ball' - it is on Weds Choices page. Presumably if they are pictured, then they will be shown. Yey, in hope! :dh: And sorry, I don't know how my husband's new scanner works yet... They are mentioned once in the write-up - Al Murray, Eddie Izzard, the cast of Green Wing, and remarkably, Chevy Chase, lead the comedy charge...

Pity the showing of this will clash with JRT on Radio 4 reading The Trumpet Major at 10.45 though! [must remember to set the video!!] :?

I know, I think I'll do it the other way round to you, tutt-sweet, meaning I'll watch the TV programme live and catch the radio broadcast on Listen Again.

Still, you can never have enough JRT so we should be grateful.
