Really enjoyed it. What an incredibly well spoken alien! Julian at his comedic best.

Cello, you are keeping us on our toes!

The final recordings for the series were last night, and having been to all of them, I can report that we are in for a treat! Hattie Moran has replaced Katherine Parkinson for the series, but the rest of the cast was largely unchanged. Julian had a lot of fun with his mildly incompetent baddie role and as sfx magazine reported from the pilot he still 'steals the show as the villainous Uljabaan, playing him with a charming mixture of bemusement and mild depression'. Is it wrong that I am sort of hoping that the aliens win?

The series starts on 7th March on radio 2 and there are 4 episodes to look out for...

I have to agree ..JRT definitely steals the show, & he is certainly THE most charming alien I've ever come into contact with! :swoon:

Set your recorders ladies.. 7 March Radio 2 at 21.30. There are 4 x 30 min episodes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01r0fv7
For those who know me, I particularly enjoyed the 'cricket match' episode & exchanged a couple of amused/meaningful glances from Julian at the recording.

Really hope that will be another series...or two!

New series of WTOVPIC recording soon, but sadly without JRT it seems. :( :( Guess he's still in Oz :?:
