Brace yourself, folks - I've booked my ticket for the 12th! Will be the lone middle aged woman eating sweets and waving to all of you. I'm not familiar with the area at all, but I'm sure there'll be a branch of the Pizza Express nearby....well, that's the whole point of it, really, isn't it? Never mind the theatrics, it's the seeing eachother and the consumables that matter. Oh. I see. It's erm just me that thinks that.....

ticket has arrived - what service! Notice from enclosed leaflet that theatre has its own cafe/restaurant. I also note that theatre is near Swiss Cottage tube station.

Well swiss cottage and the jubilee line were all closed last time I visited Let's hope they are ready for the influx!!

I went to the Central School of Speech & Drama for a postgrad open evening on Tues and was surprised to see that this theatre was opposite it - didn't realise they were so close! Funny that Julian will be back in his old stomping ground again.

yes - I noticed that. So he'll know how to get there then.... re travel, hopefully as we're going during the week the underground will be OK. Also hope seat in theatre will be comfortable, that I won't forget my sweets, etc. All part of a night out. At least I won't have to take anyone to the loo or buy them an icecream. Bliss!

Sorry Faeriequeen!! I just typed it all out and then my laptop died

Tutt-Sweet, Rosie and I met up on Friday for a drink beforehand in the bar, and did a bit of light celeb spotting.... Tim Piggott-Smith and Bill Patterson were sitting close to us, so I suspect that they had also planned to go on the Thursday night, then got squeezed in on the Friday just like we did.

Julian was on stage from the start, and he was sporting a lovely velvet coat and a pretty impressive southern drawl.... The story is in the classic ghost story mode, with lots of spooky goings on and loads of dry ice, which I won't tell you about as I don't want to spoil it for you. Julian and Tom Goodman-Hill did a brilliant job, as did the other actors, and I would never have guessed that Tom had only joined the cast two days before. I'm going back on Wednesday (and a couple more times ) so it will be interesting to see where they take it when they have all settled in together!

Afterwards we enjoyed watching Julian being as charming as ever to a seemingly never ending stream of fans - took me back a bit to the LWW days in 2007!

Anyone else been yet? If you have, tell us how you got on...

Lol, sorry for nagging Kim! Thanks for the report though - I need to remember to try and get some free tickets on the A Night Less Ordinary scheme so I can see it before the 12th.
