DVD signing

Postby Hells » Sun Sep 24, 2006 9:03 pm

According to BSG the signing will be on the 2nd October.

Apparently the Ofxord Street (London) branch of Virgin Megastores have put a little sign on their door saying they will be holding a Green Wing Series 2 DVD signing session at 6pm on the 2nd October. (Thanks to Jessie for spotting that).

There's no publicity apart from that sign at the moment, nothing on the Virgin website either. As it is a Sunday we can't find out full details about who'll be there etc but hopefully an update here in the next couple of days once we've managed to talk to 4DVD.

Once I hear more, I'll let you know.

According the the calendar on my mobile that's a monday...I've got lectures I can't miss then. Aasldhsafgaofb!! *cries*

EDIT: Nvm, if it's at 6 I'll just have to leg it to the train station after my last lecture (3pm). I'm probably going to be cutting it a bit fine! :(

Update via BSG

Postby Jools » Mon Sep 25, 2006 9:06 pm

It's confirmed: The DVD signing session is definitely happening at 6pm on the 2nd October at Virgin on Oxford Street. (It's at 6pm so that people working can make it too).

I've been asked not to reveal who'll be turning up just yet because the exact lineup has yet to be finalised (still awaiting on a couple of people's filming schedules to be confirmed). C4 don't want us to get anyone's hopes up that their favourite actor / actress is going to be there only for them to then pull out later this week because of filming commitments, which is fair enough.

That said... there will definitely be some of the stars attending. In fact I think I can get away with quoting "nearly all the main cast members have agreed to attend".

If someone does go could you please mention the website to Julian if he is there as I'm unaware if he knows about it and its doubtful I'll get up to London. Ta

Perhaps we should all wear these tiny badges on our lapels?!! :lv:

Just picked this up from the James and the blue cat blog....

"According to Rob "Julian, Steve, and Pippa are supposed to be coming to the signing, and maybe some of the others, but not Mark"

People on LJ have suggested wearing a sticker saying "LJ Green Wing" for identification...so I'll probably be one of those people if my friend doesn't find it too weird!

Hi Ducatilady, :hello:

I just cut & pasted the little :lv: smiley onto some plain paper & stuck it onto some card- added a safety pin [or double sided sticky tape] & hey presto you have a badge! I may combine mine with the logo from the LJ Green Wing too....plus my 'nom de plume' !
I'm sure there are others on here who can do clever things on their computers & will come up with something much more inventive, but I'm not too IT literate :duh: so it's a Blue Peter job for me!

It would be nice if we could at least recognise one another & have a chat whilst waiting in the , what I'm sure will be a, very long queue!

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Let's all go to Hell together

Postby Hells » Fri Sep 29, 2006 11:57 am

I will definately be going to Hell for this.

I rang up the school and told them that I wouldn't be able to attend the parents evening due to some unforeseen crisis. My friend has jumped in at the last minute and is going to let us all camp at hers for the night, so I don't have to worry about my kids.

So yes.. I'm going!!

I'll be the one wearing the Green Wing T-shirt with Guy licking his balls across my chest ;)

You'll be able to spot me , I'll be the oldest pwrson in the queue! I'm coming over from France especially for this...mad or what??? :lv:

Bet you're not the oldest one in the queue Ducatilady!! I think I may hold the honour there!!

I think it's wonderful that you're coming all the way from France- sure JRT will have a 'parlez' with you too!!

Am getting very excited about it all now! Do hope I can manage to string two sensible words together on Monday if we get to chat to the 'stars'!!

Ok, I'm going to print of all the questions in the Questions Thread. If you have any questions that you wish to have answered then put them in here. I can then pass them to him when we finally meet him. Obviously with a link back to us.. or my home phone number ;) hehe just kidding.

But if there are some of you that wish to have some questions answered and feel you may forget when you meet the man himself, then pop them at the link below and we may get some answers!
