I'm an almost definite no...seeing as I'll be in Birmingham, and will have been at the Latitude Festival the weekend before so will probably not have much money left. I also expect the Opera Company won't want me buggering off again for the weekend as apparently they'll often need me to work on Saturdays. :(

I'll let you know nearer the time if it turns out I can go though.

I'll be there - looking forward to it! :D

One show I would certainly like to see is "Spamalot" so does anyone else like Monty Python?
Its on the 26th at 20.00 at the Palace Theatre, Shaftsbury Ave - anyone interested?!!!

Can't say for sure until nearer the time, but think I can make it. Sounds very civilised and lets hope for sunshine!

Well I'll be in Canterbury by then so I'll definitely be up for an afternoon out with you guys if I don't have a job by then; however my limited funds mean i wont be able to go see any shows or anything on the evening but if all goes well i should be able to get there to see y'all - after like a year of not seeing you =P

I'l be exceedingly jealous if you all go see Spamalot.

I've blocked it off at the theatre and in my diary for fittings so pretty sure I'll be able to come. If you are still thinking of Spamalot there's a buy one get one free offer if you have a debenhams card

I did mention, in the "Julian's name cast in stone.." thread that perhaps we could go and see the steps at the school of speech and drama before hand as G&C mentioned something about perhaps visiting them on our next trip to London?

No-one has got to me about that though

Anyway, on a slightly different note, I noticed (while on the Ashes to Ashes fanpage on Facebook) that there is an eighties night being held at the London stone pub:

Sounds like fun - anyone fancy it?

A little change of plan is needed.... The National is using its outdoor cafe space for performances during the summer, so we won't be able just to sit and enjoy the sunshine as we did last year. Although there are still tables around the edges, when I was there on Saturday it was absolutely heaving and very noisy, so not much good for a chat.

As all the other cafe spaces are owned by various companies, it will be a bit tricky, particularly on a busy summer Saturday to hold a space for a group long enough. So, my revised plan is this....

If it is sunny, we meet on the green alongside the Millennium wheel for a picnic at 3pm. I'll bring a cake, and a rug, but you can buy your drinks from one of the coffee stands nearby.

If it is wet, we go back to meeting inside the National Theatre - aiming for one of the quieter spaces at the back behind the stairs on the first floor.

Or, we could just go for a pizza in Pizza Express!

We can all then head off as we wish to other activities during the afternoon/evening.

Waddya think?

If you let me know what you think of these plans in this thread, and if you are planning to come, we can get a consensus of whether this is going to be workable. If you do intend to come, please can you also pm me, ideally with a mobile number so I can get in touch with you if plans change.

Phew - this has got a bit complicated hasn't it?

Yes good luck Ros, hope it all goes well.

I'll be there on 26th, don't mind what we do as long as there's the chance to natter! :D

By the way, if any members of Swiss Family Green Wing are coming and have some leftover Swiss Francs (notes or coin) that they've no use for, please bring them along. I'll then add them to what was collected by some of us on the flight home to Gatwick, for donation to the UCLH charity.
