Its probably bunkum but by george that would be so fantastic. It would also be just my luck as I work in Cardiff but am looking to move away.
My best friend is a huge doctor who fan and had to move from Cardiff just as they started filming the first series. In the second seies they used his old house. Talk about gutted.

This has been doing the rounds for quite a while now, and I have had an increase in emails asking about it recently, so the imdb post is probably to blame for that!
I haven't heard anything so I'm assuming it's just wishful thinking....

Just reading this made me think of a Kate Bush song - Cloudbusting. Yes, I know, showing my age....
In it she sings
Ooh, I just know that something good is going to happen.
And I don't know when,
But just saying it could even make it happen.
Well, if we keep saying it, it might just well happen.....

Hahaha. Oh god that'd own so much. I mean, david rocks but he's gotta leave some time and who better to replace him? Hehe. That'd be so mint.I just thought it'd be mint because when David first started, in his first christmas episode the first thing he does when he wakes up is ask, "Am I - ginger? I always wanted to be ginger" and i always thought Julian would make a mint Doctor!! =D Although, then he'd suddenly become super-super-super famous and all of his new fans wouldn't be nearly as hardcore as us. lol.
I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I sort of hope it is an unfounded rumour and not a real possibility. *ducks flying hula hoops*
I would love to see Julian in the Tardis (there would be a very real possibility of me exploding with glee) and if it made him happy, I wouldn't say another word against it. However, I agree with FQ that he doesn't seem like the kind of person who would lap up all the attention and mad fangirling/boying of the Dr Who fandom (at least our insanity is on a small scale and well-contained ) . He always seems quite self effacing, and mainly in the job for the love of it, rather than the adulation. Although I don't think David Tennant is all about the fanlove, he appears better equipped to cope with it, and certainly enjoys his moments on the arena stages, and good luck to him. I do, after all, love him and Dr Who too
Christopher Eccleston and John Simm appear to have a similar work ethic to Julian, and their shyness and modesty has often been mistaken for standoffishness (is that a word? ) by the wider fandom, and I fear Julian could suffer the same fate.
Besides, back off rabid Whovians. We saw him first, and I for one kinda like being part of such a friendly little fandom

Got very excited when I read this, and then found myself agreeing with you all as I read through all the posts.
Much as I would love Julian to have worldwide recognition I think I would get annoyed at all the people who would then 'discover' him! I also don't think he would like all the attention on a grand scale.

Would he have to partner Catherine Tate
not sure even the allure of Julian could make me watch that!!
Like you all if he wants it it would be great. I just can't see him wanting all the attention. He gets more than enough of that from us. Although I don't think we've scared him too much
hopefully
