I was just wandering if anyone was aware that "The Wonder years" is back on tv - ITV3 for that matter! Its been on at 7-8pm for the last 2 nights and I am hoping that it will be shown every night because I still really like it - loved watching it at school and still do now - nice to know some things don't change?!
I appreciate that this might not be everyone's "cup of tea" but just thought I'd mention it so there you go....

I have had some good and bad news this week
the bad news was my friend amy's mum died of cancer last friday and I feel really bad and I'm not too sure what to do but I've written her a letter...
the good news is that I got an interview for northumbria uni for nursing, and luckily it's the one day my friend is back from lancaster so i can stay at hers the night before.
Also I got accepcted to manchester! So I feel a bit more relaxed because I was getting really freaked out about it
I still haven't heard from cardiff though which is driving me mad as it's my first choice
also I try not to think about my weight and diets. When i stopped thinking about it I began to loose it. according to everyone else around me anyway... But also if you keep yourself busy then you are less likely to eat, that's why days out even if you just go and walk or whatever they are good for you I'm too poor to eat when I go out - maybe that's why

Very sorry to hear about your friend's Mother, Ros - I am sure she appreciated the letter and the best thing you can do is just be there for her (which I am sure you said you would be) Other than that I don't know what to suggest
Congrats on your interview BTW - very exciting! Good luck with that and I hope you hear back from Cardiff soon?!
Keep your chin up! - you need some Julian therapy I think - does your friend like him? Perhaps it might take her mind off things?! Just a thought

I was a bit underwhelmed by A2A to be honest. I loved the Guv, squeed over the 'A' team on the speedboat bit, and chortled at some of the retro stuff ("it's got Pong" - ha haaaaa!), but I was just too irritated by Alex. I couldn't warm to her at all and consequently the whole thing seemed a bit disjointed to me. I'm reserving judgement fully until next week though - every show's allowed a first night wobble, and anything with Gene Hunt in it has got to have a certain level of awesome

I miss John Simm
I enjoyed Ashes ( they played the Passions and The Clash) but will have to watch it again as I was up a step ladder stipping the last bit of ceiling paper. The last piece came down (finally) just as the program finished . Yes I did cheer quite loudly then I had one of these to celebrate with.
Spent yesterday sanding 70 years worth of varnish and paint off the stair. They're looking good, only 3 left to do . Then tomorrow I can start decorating.
Mind you need to clean the whole house first as it is now sitting under a thick layer of dust from the sander

I know what you mean Maisie, I wasn't too sure about the female character but everything else was good, especially the red Audi Quattro!
Ch1, yes I watched Boston Legal, it was OK, reminded me of Ally McBeal in some ways. Thought Tara Summers was well suited to that part. And Mark Valley was in it too!
Belated congratulaions on your good news, MW. And FQ, keep that can of drink AWAY from your new laptop (but I'm sure your mother's already told you that!).

I really enjoyed A2A - I loved the line, "Lets fire up the Quattro!" (might not have go that line exactly right?!) Gene Hunt is as funny and rude as ever, "if that skirt was any higher, I'd be able to see what you had for breakfast!" so rude yet so funny.
I am actually just getting into LOM as I never saw it when it was on tv (even when it was repeated recently *holds head in shame*) but am loving it - need to now watch S2!

It's a lovely sunny day in hereford but sadlyI can't see the computer screen cos the sun is in my eyes. Only 2 of us in today so no- one to cover lunch plus got 2 sold out shows going in at 2.30 so this really sucks.
On top of that for reasons I won't go into I ended up with Jake yesterday afternoon and he's staying til thursday. God knows when I'm going to get any sewing done as I'm at the theatre all day today tues and wed plus thurs morning.
New wierd stuff at my house too, had completly stripped all the wood in the hall including a piece up my stairs . I had sanded it and when I went out on sat it looked great when I got home there was numbers in pencil on it. Ojnly my parents had been there and they say it wasn't them. Do I sound like I need a straight jacket soon

Happy Valentine's Day to you all.
Hope you all have a lovely day. I'm in a good mood had 2 cards ( the best was a homemade one from Mini Mac)
Off to cook a meal and watch the footy with Dave tonight ( my idea about the footy) only one problem going to take 1 1/2 hrs to drive there.

Thanks for the text on Saturday Em. It was a glorious day and I headed back to my coach home a very happy girlie indeed....The Richo arena is a pretty nice stadium, although I think the fact we one 5-0 helped. I had a fantastic day out and it only cost me £20...bargain. Unfortunately I wasn't near the front so I had no chance of catching any of the players shirts, which they all decided to throw into the crowd at the end of the match. And then to top it all off we got the best draw for our quater final today, although we are away from home again, we have at least managed to miss the big guns still left in and have drawn the lowest team still left in the competition.....League 1 outfit Bristol Rovers, if we can get past them, it's a place in the semi finals of the FA cup which are played at Wembley.....I have everything crossed, the weekend of the 8th March can't come quick enough!

Good luck for that Baggie ( i'll be in france by then) I'm having to support WBA now seeing as Everton went straight out. You'll have to text me so I know how you do. My uncle has been invited along as one of WBA old managers to the match and I was going to try and blag a ticket but I'm not here
Best bit of Sat Barnsley taking Liverpool out (he he) worst bit Man U beating Arsenal ( I have 2 smug sisters). Was really enjoying last nights Champions league match til the last 5 min, Liverpool really are jammy!!!
On the subject of something other than footy God it's freezing here ( tonights match has been called off). The rioch stadium is nice Baggie last time I was there was with mum and we were sat in the middle of the pitch watching Red Hot Chilli Peppers ( my mum's 66th birthday pressy)

I will make sure and let you know how we get on. I have managed to get a place on the free bus again, but I think I will end up cancelling it as we have only been given an allocation of 2000 tickets, so I doubt i'll get one. At least it's on BBC. It's on the Sunday ko 6pm, so I shant miss a kick.
Liverpool really are jammy. That guy did not deserve to get sent of, it may have been a different game if he'd have stayed on the pitch. Hey talking about Hereford.....how are you liking you loan striker.....I really can't believe serjill has scored 6 goals in 3 games for them.....he has yet to score for the Albion

Well we're currently in 2nd place so it's all looking good for this season. Just wish they wouldn't all park at the theatre as we get to many complaints from our customers. Plus if I finish here at 5 I end up sat outside the theatre for about 20 mins trying to get home.
Do you think we'll be in trouble for too much footy talk!!
