South Bank Show Awards

Postby maisie » Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:46 am

Did anyone catch the South Bank Show Awards last night? I'm sure I caught a glimpse of Julian on one of the tables and was trying to spot him again when I got called out for work.

I wondered if Landscape with Weapon was nominated for anything but it doesn't look like it. Good to see Green Wing represented among the winners with Paterson Joseph's Saint Joan winning in the Theatre Category. :D

Ah mann :x ..I was watching that last night - well only caught the end(?) when J.K Rowling was given the (?) award and I was just thinking, "oh I wander if Julian went to that?" (honest I was - I'm not just saying that now - hence my annoyance!)
Good for Patterson - I didn't see himin Saint Joan but did see him in the Emperor Jones and he was sooooo good! so he deserves it!

Oh good - I'm glad I wasn't seeing things :D

I've had a quick trawl for photos but I can't find any of them among the arrivals. Looks like the boys were a bit camera-shy that night.

Standing next to Steve is GW's lovely Sarah Alexander, with Katie Derham on the other side. :)

I was just about to comment on the pinstripes there too, Maisie - the LM certainly looks his best in the old pinstripes doesn't he? Mind you, Mr Mangan looks pretty good in them too so thanks for posting them Rosie :D

He certainly does! Talking of the lion's mane, I'm so glad to see he's letting his hair grow out again. I much prefer it when it's that little bit longer. So strokable...
