Ooh thanks for that interview link!!

I was quite interested by this bit:
"We did a pilot on Channel 4 called Free Agents, part of the Comedy Showcase, with Sharon Horgan, they've commissioned a series of that, so we'll be filming that at summer sometime."

Because I loved Free Agents! I was gutted that it was only a one off 30 minute thing. I just wanted more. So now I'm excited =]
Mac: How are the people of Insania without their Mighty Queen?
Sue White: Oh well you know, they're alright. I left them post-it notes with instructions.

I totally agree! The green wing scene automatically started playing in my head and just made me laugh!

I also liked "should we be leaving food out like this" about the fruit bowl when that kid was at their house!

Thanks for the article Ch1 -
group of people who are really dedicated fans
I simply cannot think who he might mean

I really liked Never Better. A few actual laugh out loud moments for me and I thought Steve was great. I was pleasantly surprised after the slight disappointment of Free Agents which I wasn't so struck on. Roll on the next episode :D

Never Better was a hit in our house too, mainly because of the faces Steve pulls - you just know his character's going to end up squirming but it's still fun to watch!

God..anyone would think he was obsessed with Julian or something?
(unlike us?!) as he always seems to sneak in something about him in most of his interviews?
Love this one:
TVS: I prefer Julian to be honest... Julian Barratt I mean!!
SM: Oh right, well that's good because Julian Rhind-Tutt just gets the ladies flocking to him. It's just sickening...

..Ooh could you be jealous Stephen? Think so!

I enjoyed "Free Agents" too Emm - it was quite rude though but incredibly funny too! can't wait till more!

Did anyone else see Steve Mangan on T4 on Saturday morning?

When he was asked if he watched himself in the credit card ads, he said he always switched off the TV when they came on because he couldn't stand "that other chap" who was in them. He went on to say that the other chap "smells a bit"! Complimentary, as ever

Yes, but what does he smell of? I agree with you, G&C, I think Steve's a bit obsessed with JRT. Perhaps our moderators could issue him with an invitation/threat.

We know how effective a letter from Ducatilady is...... No-one dares refuse her!

OMG...he really is obsessed isn't he? I agree with you Em - perhaps he should join up - but, then he would possibly be in the queue for a restraining order  but of course we are very polite about Julian, unlike some people!!!

though i always loved him in his earlier films like 'a knights tale' & '10 things i hate about you' - which i still never tire of watching - i used to know that film as well as i know Green Wing now

Did anyone catch Mr Mangan on "Something for the weekend" on BBC2 this morning? It was supposed to be on at 11.30 but the bloody tennis ran over time didn't it?! Then I only caught a glimpse of him when they were all trying the chilli pineapple with mascapone when I switched on about an hour later - do you think it will be on iplayer at all?
Can anyone let me/us know if he had yet another dig at Julian?

Yeh I saw it. Well some of it.
He came on about 12.45 and consequently I was late for work.
I saw his main interview and he didnt' mention Julian in the bit I saw! He spoke a bit about his love for Spurs (he was off to the game today) and then a bit about never better. Apparently he was meant to be doing a bit of cooking later on in the programme but I didn't see it.

And I'm pretty sure it'll be on iPlayer... if I remember correctly I've seen it when looking for something else!

It is on the iplayer...I watched it last night! No digs at Julian but he was being his usual funny self and watching him cooking was interesting. Lol.

i missed this weeks never better, I've been meaning to watch it on the iplayer but haven't found the time yet, I may do that now but as much as I love steve I don't think it's that great

I have been re-watching series one of torchwood and Louise is beautiful I feel jealous just watching her knowing that she's steve's wife but she is a damn good actress though....

went to see Stewart Lee at the courtyard on sat night, he was brilliant. Mind you I have seen him 3 times now. Baggie made the great trip to Hereford and rang from outside my house finding it with no help :D

Mind you she did refer to the only road from Hereford to the M50 as back roads. Just cos it has no lights ,is very bendy and has no form of civilisation on it.

After being attacked by the kittens we went to the theatre where Baggie met mini macs mum. Sadly the support act was ruined by some very drunk late comers. 6 members of staff were all going to complain in the interval and get them thrown out.

Thankfully Stewart Lee did the job for us and refused to go on until they went. They then got banned from our bar as well. The rest of the show was great, if you get the chance go see him.

We have now spent all day here trying to point out to them that none of them are going to get money back.

After that Baggie experienced a hereford pub then spent the night being attacked by the kittens
