Website bandwidth upgrade
The website was down for a few hours today because the bandwith was exceeded (again!). It is great that everyone is getting such good use out of the site, but this means that I've had to upgrade again, which will cost an extra £12 a month
So, if anyone has any spare cash in their back pocket after christmas, donations via the button on the main screen would be very very very gratefully received.
Happy new year

I have made a small donation towards the new fee - I certainly do get a lot of usage out of this site so I am happy to make a donation (hopefully it should be in the account very soon?!)
BTW - what's a bandwith? - having very little knowledge of computers/websites makes me clueless!

Thankyou Maisie for the banner

Hmm. I don't have enough money to contribute financially to the website, but if you're interested I could get you online with a decent server for a significant drop in cost. (i think it'll work out at about a tenner a month for practicay unlimited bandwidth and stuff). I used to run a website reseller so if you want i coud find it back and transfer you. It's up to you = because i love this site and dont like the idea that it should cost you loads.
I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.

Thanks to everyone, whether you contribute financially, or through comments and chat on the site. Closing the site certainly isn't an option, but your help will mean that we can keep the site just as we like it.
In my view, it is the welcoming atmosphere and friendly chat that makes this site such a special little haven, so I think you should all give yourselves a big pat on the back
So, and thanks again

Thanks to Jools, Chats, Ducatilady and FQ (and of course our wonderful Julian) for a great year. Here's to 2008!
Have made a contribution & as Rosie says it's a small price to pay for such a wonderful place to worship at the shrine of JRT!
Thanks Kim & mods for all your hard work in keeping this site going...I'm sure Himself will be very gratified.

Many thanks to everyone who has sent contributions over the past few weeks. They are all very gratefully received and will be put to good use so that we can keep adding and downloading photos, videos etc as much as we like!
I will be renegotiating the contract in June, which should (hopefully) be less expensive than upgrading halfway through the year, and I will update you on how I get on then.
It has given me a bit of a warm glow to see how kind everyone has been, and that you enjoy the site as much as I do!! So thanks, and virtual hugs to everyone.
