Community Challenge Cambodia

As some of you may be aware, in March I'm going to Cambodia with MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to take part in their Community Challenge Cambodia event. It's basically a group of volunteers going out there for two weeks to build Cambodian style homes for those affected by landmines. (MAG is a humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict for the benefit of communities worldwide and is co-laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.)

I have to raise £3000 to take part (£1500 of which covers my costs and I’ve paid that myself) and only 7 weeks left to do it.

That's where you come in to it!

I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me for this epic challenge.

I've set up a page over at JustGiving, and also a Facebook group which you are all welcome to join. I’m trying to keep everyone up to date with my progress so far, but there’s not much to tell as yet, except that I went to the doctors on Thursday for my first batch of injections - I'm now good for Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio. Only Rabies and Encephalitis to go . . . . plus a course of Malaria tablets - what the hell have I signed up for??

So that’s it basically – I’m on the scrounge. And in the words of old Jerry Maguire . . . . . SHOW ME THE MONEY!

:D

P.S. I'm posting this everywhere, so sorry if you see it several times!
