My goodness I've stirred up something with the whole poppet thing haven't I! Sorry about that...well double dares anyone who calls him a poppet tomorrow! And good luck everybody and have fun 8) As I'm a wimp who has never plucked up the nerve to try to meet the fraise-blonde one in person: please send pictures... or a video on your phone saying 'I'm not a poppet how dare you!' Or some such..

Also anyone wanting a context for 'poppet', its like 'sweetie' or something. My mum used to call me it all the time when I was little. If I started crying or fell over or something she would say 'awww, poppet, whats wrong?' or if I did something really nice like bring her tea in bed etc. she would say 'thank you, you're a compete poppet' does that make sense? It is quite a mumsy thing to say to someone being really sweet.

Anyway JRT = COMPLETE poppet so there

Aww, what a shame! Never mind - at the risk of sounding cheesy! - you've got lovely memories of the day that will stay with you forever.

You haven't washed the clothes you were wearing when he hugged you, have you?

of course not!!! that shirt will hold essence of julian forever! my mother, which is weird because she doesn't even know who he is despite my trying to get her into greenwing, actually suggested (and she wasn't even joking!) that i freeze it and in thirty years or something, when the technology exists, clone him! i thought that would just be weird though.... although . nah it would be. unleeess.... no. it definately would.

and also i'm in London on the 5th because i'm going to this event where they are showing a film with Tamsin Greig and Mark Heap in and afterwards my friends suggested going to the stage door again because we would be in London!

I'm also hoping that we might meet Mark and Tamsin because on the site it says that the cast anfd crew will be attending!!

Sounds like you should have a good time xpingu. As we have been discussing on the other thread the stage door at the National is likely to be so busy on the 5th most of us who have already met Julian are planning to step back and give others a chance ( All of this is assuming that Julian has time to talk - there are no guarantees!!)
Hope you get to see Mark and Tamsin though - very exciting!

With my mod hat on, if you want to continue this chat about other actors/films can I ask you to move to the general chat area ? Ta x
