I'm just back from a trip to London with my mum and we managed to sneak in a last-minute trip to see LWW on the 7th. We had great seats 3 rows from the front and I was in my glory. I thought the play was wonderful and so well-acted.
I managed to meet Julian afterwards - well I couldn't come all the way from Scotland and not at least try to meet him! There were a few others waiting to meet him who hugged him as soon as he came through the door and then they appeared to go backstage (so lucky!) - think they may have been friends of his as he went back inside after he met us. He came over to us and we introduced ourselves. What a gentleman he is!! He signed my programme (as Mac!) and I got a photo. I also got a lovely long hug and a kiss on the cheek (swoon). I wish I could go back to that moment in time and relive it over and over again. It's all a blur now. I see a lot of you have met him before but I just wanted to share that with you all as I never thought I would get to see him in LWW or meet him, so I'm a very happy bunny indeed!

Glad you had a great time hula hoop and got to meet Julian and that he was as lovely and charming as ever.
Didn't we all chose our obsession well, we should all pat ourselves on the back for having such good taste in men , well one man.
If only they were all like him

Hahaha i got a birthday hug. Yip!
Glad you had a great evening, Hula Hoop - we all deserve praise for our fantastic taste, i think.
Gosh don't worry about your age - you're not old until you're aged and decrepid (at least 100) and boring (at least 100) - never forget the wise words of my Godfather: "You don't stop playing games when you get old. You get old when you stop playing games". Hooray! =P
Plus the 30s are the best years of your life according to my mum, who's 47.

I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.
Thanks guys, I'm still on Cloud Nine!!! Currently trying to figure out how to post the photo on here. I managed to get it onto photobucket so I'll try and post on the pictures thread.
Marinewarden, that's fab that you're going to see LWW for your birthday. Don't worry, you're still merely a bairn at 30! And I'm sure a birthday hug from the man himself would make you feel better!! Hope you have a great time. I wish I could see the play (and Julian) again but I don't think it's likely.
And you're right, we definitely deserve kudos for our fantastic taste!
