Thanks for pointing out that Keen Eddie is going to be on Sky this week Jools! I looked through my newly purchased Radio Times ( thanks to Smoo2) and noticed that it is also on Sky 2 in the afternoon at 2 o'clock. This edition of the RT should really have Julian on the cover.

Whoopeeeeee!
Thanks Jools & Ducatilady for spotting this.
Must dash out to get some blank tapes so I can video it. I know it sounds out of the Ark to use tapes, but I'm 'technically challenged' to use anything else!!
At least I'll now know what all of you are raving about!
I can't wait!

I saw an episode of this on Friday whilst being forced to eat chicken soup at my friends house. It was the one with the Full moon.
I really really want this moreso on DVD. I loved it!

have been off work this week, poorly, but have been keeping myself entertained with the K E box set! is it me though or does Julian look like he's being strangled by his tie half the time?!

got mine off amazon for less than £20 inc postage. it came from the states so took a couple of weeks, but was well worth the wait. you have to put a code in the dvd player though if it isn't multi region... but mr pinks is clever and worked out how to do it.
edit...ooops just noticed that there is a different thread about this

Keen Eddie is def worth the money. I got mine from Amazon about 6 months ago and it came from the USA. I watch it on my computer as I haven't figured how to make my DVD player multi yet. I have a mister marsbar but he doesn't do techincal stuff!!

Just watched today's episode of Keen Eddie on Sky & thought it was the best yet. 'Sticky fingers' much more of Julian in this one. One thing puzzles me though, his hair is shorter in this one, almost Dr Mac length, but no curls?

Julian's hair varies a lot on the series, sometimes very ginger and long, sometimes almost short (heaven forbid) and very blonde. I can only assume that they filmed the series over a long or disjointed period and one of the haircuts may have been just for the pilot episode. But as I believe the youngsters say 'Its all good'

I think I read somewhere that are not showing them in the order they were originally filmed in either, so that
may account for the length [or lack of it] of Julian's hair.
I just love it any which way!!!

The series is aired out of sequence as follows (This is how they are on the dvd aswell):
Shown Filmed
1 Pilot (a.k.a Eddie) 1
2 Horse Heir 2
3 Achtung Baby 9
4 Eddie Loves Baseball 12
5 Sucker Punch 6
6 The Amazing Larry Dunn 10
7 Black Like Me 7
8 Sticky Fingers 11
9 Inciting Incident 8
10 Citizen Cecil 4
11 Who Wants to Be in a Club That Would Have Me as a Member? 5
12 Keeping Up Appearances 3
13 Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité 13
I did read somewhere why this was but it doesn't say in the artical the above is taken from. Julian's hair does alter wildely between some episodes though. And the flatmate storyline suffers too and often doesn't make sense.

I've rearranged mine to see if it makes more sense.

Thank you everybody for all the feedback about Keen eddie. The list you posted Minimarsbar is particularly useful, as the Sky episodes don't have titles attached to them, and as you say, really its the relationship between Eddie & his flatmate that suffers, the rest works OK.

Glad to be of service (lol)
The thing that really annoyed me when I watched 3 in a row once was at the end where Eddie is sticking the pins in his map of the places he's been to. One episode he'll have half a dozen and the next just 3 etc.
Next time I have to chance to watch it over a week or so I think I'll do as you suggested Jennifer and watch them in filmed order.

I've managed to watch all 13 episodes and stick them on VHS
From what I can make out the episodes were filmed out of order, which will explain JRT's different hair lengths, but have been shown in the right order on Sky - I have been counting the number of matchboxes pinned up and it does tally with each episode. I only started counting them though as I'd printed off the episode list from IMBD (or whatever it is) and suddenly noticed that their episodes 11, 12 and 13 had already been shown around the 3, 4 and 5 mark - which was when I started checking back on the matchboxes.
I love this show and can't believe they only ever filmed one series

Someone at Sky must have a bit of common sense then - or else they are a fan and have already seen the DVD and noticed the irregularities in key scenes - namely the match boxes. It's quite noticable on the DVD that they are shown out of filmed sequence.

Yay! Ducatilady sent me a copy of all the recorded eps off Sky and I'm loving it! I think the "That is the best thing since internet porn" line is my favourite so far, that and all the manly posturing with guns and jumping on suspects!
Thanks so much Rita! xx

There are loads of one liners in this - when I get the chance to watch all my taped episodes again, I will start making a note of them, but one I do remember is "but I got a sex lunch today" or words to that effect from Monty when he is given a load of lists to go through.
