Over the next few days I will be carrying out an essential upgrade of the forum software. This means that the forum may be offline, hopefully for short periods only, but longer if I hit any difficulties.

Although I will back up the forum, it is possible that I might end up losing some of our 'stuff', so can I suggest that if there are any banners, avatars, images or conversations that you particularly treasure, that you take your own copies for safekeeping!

Hopefully there won't be any hitches and I can just let you know when we can all relax, but if there are any problems I will let you know through a message on the main site, which won't be affected by the changes.

The software update is all complete now, and as far as I can see we haven't lost anything

The update is mainly about security so you shouldn't notice any major differences, but if you should notice any problems with posting/pm-ing etc, do let me know so that I can sort it out quickly.
