JRT alert, folks.

My husband has just appeared to tell me that JRT is on This Week doing a piece, don't know the subject.

It's that political programme with Andrew Neil, Diane Abbott and Michael Portillo.

Will have a look and may even tape it on VHS. Sorry, don't have a recording DVD player.....

just watching it now!! i think its about a the U.K being a nation of excess and he'll be 'giving the thumbs up to europe' or something- not that i'll be paying much attention to what he's saying!......he's just referred to himself as a 'fluffy haired actor'....bless!

Very amusing! Have taped it on VHS. Can anyone do anything with that?

Shall we club together and buy him a shoe cupboard? I think Ikea would do a white one to go with the wardrobe.
My husband insists on lining up his shoes in the bedroom, and it drives me nuts.

Update for you all!
here's the link to the website so you can see this for yourself!

OMG! I've just watched this on the website and it's a classic. Jules looks truly gorgeous as usual (having him lounging on a bed as an opening gambit is genius!) and I almost choked on my cheerios when he picked up a banana and proceeded to wave it around as an extension to his usual expressive hand gestures! (Lovely home too!) :swoon:

Plus - the infamous cardi makes an appearance in the studio. Plus, plus - the boy makes a very valid political point.

Boo hiss to Chris Huhne though for his bad manners in talking over our boy when he was trying to make a point. Very much enjoyed Jule's barely disguised disgusted expression when listening to him smarm all over the discussion. AND - hurray for Andrew Neill for getting them all to apologise to Jules for interrupting him!

Beauty, brains, black knitwear and bananas - the perfect way to start the day! :lv:

Bananas!!!

Hi, I lurk lots and rarely say anything. But I wanted to say thanks for turning up this little gem and thanks for running a wonderful site!

Also wasn't someone going to edit together a series of clips of Julian and his favorite, banana prop! Would be fab if someone could? They do seem to feature in much of his best work ;)

Cheers

:D

Videos are a bit beyond me - I'm afraid a desperate screen-grab of the latest banana-fiddling was the best I could do!

LOL: that expression on his face whilst looking at the banana is priceless!!
There are so many things I *heart* about this video...not least the fact that his laptop is a Macbook!

Yes, I can convert VHS video to digital files, if someone hasn't managed to capture it in any other way :D

Thanks Chats, please can someone capture it somehow, because it doesn't want to work on my computer and you're all driving me to distraction talking about it! And that 'banana moment' is so well captured, maisie!

Thanks to patchy and lucie for spotting this - sure I'll enjoy it when I can get it to work.

Well done all you techie folks!

I can just put the tape back on the shelf, and no-one need ever notice that I taped over the OC. The wrath of the teenager is best avoided.
