Thankfully due to the fact my 3 year old boiler has died the cats and I are still at my parents. They have sky and my Dad loves nature programs so this could work well.
Although I do feel my Dad will be suspicious when I start suggesting we watch it

I think Julian is a modern day Johnny Morris.
[for anyone old enough to remember Animal Magic]
His voices [& accents] were brilliant. I particularly enjoyed his German 'Damisi', the silverback gorilla....just the right amount of arrogance & petulance.
I fell totally in love with the Morris the obese dormouse though, who had to
lose weight before he could be released into the wild. I understand completely how addictive nuts can be after this Christmas!
I don't know whose idea it was for this programme, or for Julian to do the voiceover & animal voices, but it's absolutely
wonderful!
Julian, another triumph!

I loved it too - very silly, but very enjoyable all the same.... I used to love Animal Magic and it struck much the same tone.
I'll edit a little sample over the weekend for those of you that can't get Sky

Agree, it was fun. The other actors were good too (especially Sally Phillips as the disgruntled 'wife' of the creature with a flatulence problem!)....and I'm sure it was Julian doing the lion impression in the first programme!

I think it was Julian too... we should be able to have fun with that in the future I suspect. He also was doing the voices of the monkeys eating too much fruit in that first episode

Just checked my tape, & yes it
was Julian doing the lion's voice. He said something about 'tasty little snacks'...think this was a reference to Morris the obese dormouse!
