For those of us mourning the end of 7 Ages of Rock, there's a chance to hear the fraise-blond Prince of Narration in this gem on TV this week. News of Julian's involvement was shamefully hidden at the very bottom of a page in Radio Times, who had this to say:

OUTDOOR BRITAIN: Real Men (Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri BBC1)
Over four nights narrator Julian Rhind-Tutt salutes the men (and one woman) who work where many would fear to tread, including pylon-climbers and Forth Bridge painters.

Broadcast times seem to vary between 7 & 7.30pm. Shame he can't be persuaded to actually do some presenting - having sinful thoughts about the golden locks blowing artistically in the wind on top of a bridge......

What a great programme! How brave are those guys eh?

You wouldn't catch me being locked up in an underwater metal chamber for a month at a time :jd: for all the tea in China...... tho' if JRT was in there I may just be able to bear it?!!

He narrated beautifully... as only he can. :swoon:

Looking forward to the other programmes this week enormously. :)

Managed to catch some of the one last night...he's so brilliant at narration! I don't know if my mum realised it was him but after a while she insisted we watch a DVD instead!

It's funny though because I swear the fact that I'm always listening out to see if advert voiceovers are him has made me quite attuned to picking out other actors too...it's become a sort-of game now!
