Summer Picnic 2009?

Postby chatterbox » Fri May 08, 2009 9:50 am

Perhaps because it is a grey May day, my thoughts are turning to the glorious summer we are going to have

Just wondering who would be interested in a picnic somewhere in London over the summer?

Unfortunately I will be away on the obvious date of Julian's birthday, but I will be around during August, so will make a first suggestion of 1st August.

So, over to you - let me know if you are interested in meeting during the summer at all, and if you can/can't manage the 1st August.

Roll on summer!

I'm going to the Globe in the evening to see As You Like It, but I should be around during the day. :)

Well, Rosie and I are going to see All's Well that Ends Well on the evening of the 1st, so I am happy to leave that date standing for the time being to see if anyone else can manage it, but I think we should perhaps look for an alternative date for those of you that can't get into London then...

How about the bank holiday weekend in August, on the 29th?

I would love to join you, but not sure if I'll be able to, although it is my birthday on the 28th August, so a day in London could be my pressie!!......it's just I'm abandoning hubbie and kids to do some races over the summer and him indoors gets a bit grumpy!!

I watched some Green Wing today :D

Well Rosie and I are still planning to meet for a picnic on 1st August at around 4pm on the green near the London Eye, unless it is raining when we will meet in the National Theatre bar

If you fancy joining us for cake and a chat, it would be great to see you, so let us know if you are planning to drop in ...

I've got a couple of friends coming down to London for the play we're going to in the evening but seeing as it's at the Globe I'm sure we'll be able to pop along for a bit.

Well it wasn't much of a picnic as it was raining... but we had a lovely time including tea and cake in the National Theatre cafe, followed by Pizza Express :) No fraise blondes, but plenty of chat instead....

Sorry it wasn't much of a picnic due to the weather...trust you had some lemon 'drizzle' cake  & :coffee: to cheer you all up?!

Hope it wasn't too wet for The Globe either. :(

Well we were sitting down so it was alright, and it didn't actually rain during the performance. :)
Nice to chat, albeit briefly!
