Thanks for that Rosie. Nice to know he has a few 'mature' admirers & I'm not alone. I'm quite a few years older than JRT [ tho' am not quite old enough to be his Mum...I certainly don't think of him in a maternal way! ]
It would be nice if we could all meet up at the premiere of Rabbit Fever wouldn't it? How about it Hells & Jools...if we can find out which venue it will be held at? Fancy trying to get something organised?!

" A few very charming ladies down at my Dad's whist drive have been very kind (average age 75-93). My brother is the headmaster of a special school and I know some of his dinner ladies have been very kind to me as well. "
Me too - if I can find someone to look after the kids!!!!
Rosie & Tutt-Sweet - I'm a fellow mature admirer - good to meet you! Heck - lust has no respect nor time for age barriers!!! Anyway - he may like a more mature woman (she said hopefully!!!!).

Whats the form then Baggie Bird, I know what you look like so should we accost you? I'll be the short fat 36 year old with a brown bob and my husband will be the short, thin one who according to others bears a passing resemblance to Jamie Cullum (don't tell him I told you or he'll get the hump!). How could you miss us!
Are they suckers for punishment enough to signpost the stagedoor?
On a technical note how long is the play and how long is the interval?
This weekend is turning into a bit of a military operation but I'm desperate to see him without letting Hubby know how desperate I am! I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings as he has been very good about the whole JRT obsession. Thank god he liked Green Wing!
Oh grief I am so excited I could squeel alot!

probably best not to do that Mac V, although I'm sure he'd remember you after that. Don't forget I'll see you in Zurich.
Have a great time it is a wonderful experience, and congrats on such an understanding hubby
Hope all of you who are going tomorrow and monday have a great time.

Just got back from seeing LWW. Met up with Chatterbox, Baggiebird, Spence and Spitting Bunny for lunch and then we met MacValentine and her husband at the National (I don't think we were too scary, were we, MacV?). JRT Patch joined us later at the stage door and then we all went off for a drink and a natter.
The play was excellent as ever. Pippa had worked hard on her role, which is probably the most difficult in terms of character development. Tom Hollander seemed to have a cold but still managed to give a good performance. Julian was wonderful as usual, and we had a bit of an unexpected treat in the last scene because his trousers had split at the back just before he entered on stage, so his white undergarments were visible!
He was charming at the stage door and chatted whilst we took pictures and got bits and pieces signed. A lovely afternoon, great to see you all again and meet MacValentine and husband, hope to do it again soon!
