Darker Shores 12th January
Well, the opportunity to see Julian on stage seems a perfect excuse for a get-together!! The 12th January looks like a good date, as it will also give us an opportunity to attend the post show discussion.
If you would like to come along on that date, perhaps for a drink or a chat before the play, or even an opportunity to say a quick hello at the stage door, let us know in this thread. Once we are sure that a few of us can make it, we can go ahead and book our tickets.
If a large enough group can't make the 12th January, we can always set an alternative date. .....Of course that might mean I have to go along to see the play more than once, but I think I will manage to cope with that
So waddya think?

Re: Darker Shores 12th January
Well in pm's and this thread we already have eight people wanting to come, so I would suggest that we have enough to start a bit of a party!
If you go ahead and buy your own tickets, and we will arrange where and when we meet up a bit nearer the time
Do post here to let us know you are coming, so that we can work out whether a meal, pub or corner of the theatre bar will be the best place to meet up.....

As a certain Mr Michael Jackson once sang, "I'll be there" !
" A few very charming ladies down at my Dad's whist drive have been very kind (average age 75-93). My brother is the headmaster of a special school and I know some of his dinner ladies have been very kind to me as well. "

That should be fine for me - I won't be able to buy any tickets till my student loan comes in in September though, I don't think. Depends how much money I spend in New York in a couple of weeks!

Well the play isn't on for another 5 months ( ) so hopefully they won't sell out too quickly!
Re: Darker Shores 12th January
must book my ticket. do you think they'll get extra security for that night? Perhaps they'll never suspect.

Re: Darker Shores 12th January
Finally bought a ticket for the 12th, so you can count me in! Hannah/Curlybeach (the one who came to the pub screening in Jan) is coming too.
Re: Darker Shores 12th January
sorry - posting again here. will be there too. There must be lots of places to meet up around Swiss Cottage. Leaflet that came with tickets has nice looking theatre restaurant. So glad I don't have to trek all the way up to Hampstead, nice place that it is.

Re: Darker Shores 12th January
Hmmm I've been a bit lax in organising this!
If you want to meet up with everyone for a meal/chat in the late afternoon/early evening of the 12th January, please pm me so I have an idea of numbers and can find somewhere to suit us.

Never the quickest to get organised I have just ordered my ticket - so see you there. Coming straight from work so probably can't meet to eat but certainly would like to join the tail end of anything for coffee

Re: Darker Shores 12th January
After a little 'wobble' when we weren't sure if the play would still be running on 12th Jan, Tom Goodman-Hill has confirmed he will still be around on that date, so we are still full steam ahead for a get together.
I haven't heard from many of you about meeting up (probably at Pizza Express or Nandos) before the performance.
Let me know if you would like to join us there and I will see if I can reserve a suitable table.....
Otherwise, I am sure there will be opportunities to chat in the bar afterwards!

Re: Darker Shores 12th January
Our plan is taking shape.... After some scouting around (thanks Rose and Di!) we have decided that we will meet in the theatre cafe, where we now have a table reserved in the lower foyer from 6pm. I have included everyone who has already contacted me, but if you would like to join us, just let me know and I will make sure we have enough room for everyone!
Samples from the menu...
Examples:
Chunky chips with garlic mayo & tomato salsa dip £2.95
Salmon & smoked haddock fishcake with leeks & mustard sauce £6.65
Mushroom risotto with Jerusalem artichoke £6.25
Boeuf Bourgignon with creamy mashed potato £6.45
Selection of filled baguettes & other breads served with salad & crisps, from £4 - £5
Salads, e.g. Salmon, watercress & avocado, around £6
Feeling hungry already
