i have a slight problem. I found out today that the Oscars are on the 21st which is when we are away. The oscars are like the biggest event of the year and I have been waiting for them and been so excited about them especially as I could be nominated (this is a school thing BTW) and it's a big deal to me - even bigger then the fact I'm going to a prom which i've never had before and am also excited about. Anyway, it's ok if I don't go but if my film DOES win then I would like to be there. But i'm not Cancelling my flight - mainly because I can't but I can change the name so somebody else could go in my place..

If someone can go in my place then that would be really helpful, if not I'm still really excited and looking forward to the trip and i'll make someone film the whole thing and send it to me

but it could be literally the last time I see certain people and hang out with my film class who are lovely and I don't hang out with enough

so yeah, - oh plane ticket was from london and was about £65 return

Only one week to go now! Amazing to think that this time next week we will be meeting up on top of a mountain in Switzerland. I hope everyone has a good trip and finds the chalet without too much difficulty.
See you in Zurich!

ahh we technically get to say that haha!

a few questions, I'm trying to travel as light as possible so i was wondering what are hand luggage rules what can and can't i take

also is somebody bringing things like shampoo, conditioner and tooth paste as I don't really want to take them myself

also is anyone taking a digital camera, mine has suddenly broken so i may try and get a new one by friday but if i don't I hope there is someone else who is able to take pictures

Easyjet baggage allowances:

I shall be buying some mini toiletries to conform to the liquids rule...I think you should really do the same. :)

I will have a digital camera and I'm sure lots of other people will as well.

well i think i'm sorted now I just need to pack but i pretty much know what i'm taking etc now.

also my dad being the lovely man that he is, is buying me a shiny new camera tomorrow which I did choose (i did want the £99 one in pink) but we are not that rich so i have a 8mp camera now - soo much better then my old 2 plus it's far less bulky and i don't even have it yet but i'm strangely excited about getting it

and now everything else is sorted so I will see you all on saturday

Hope you all have a fantastic time - will be thinking of you all, in your pyjamas, with the wine and chocolates, watching all those DVDs....just remember to bring them along!

We will need all the gossip and the photos afterwards, please!!

Have a great time everyone! Remember - don't do anything the rest of us wouldn't. Which probably leaves you with quite a lot of scope...

Well we're all here and the weather is gorgeous! The chalet is great and Rita has ordered enough food to last a week so we're all very happy. ;)
Everyone except Madzilla and I has gone out to the nearest little town for a wander around as we were still in bed when they left, but I'm sure we'll get a few GW episodes in once they get back. :D

tsk, you young people - any excuse to stay in bed! Glad you all got there safely.
We are looking forward to plenty of photos and news!
And I wonder how much GW you actually get to watch.

Ok so i've been back home for an hour now, and i'm not liking it. The weekend was fantastic, we had an absolute riot. It was all flippin' marvelous. And of course the weather was gorgeous, it really couldn't have been any better......well obviously only the addition of Julian there would have made it better. :D
