Seasons Greetings/Advent calendar

Postby Jools » Thu Nov 30, 2006 11:26 pm

So the festive season is upon us and to start it off hopefully you'll enjoy the Christmas card below. We'll then be running our very own 'julian' advent calendar, so make sure you check back every day for a new image.
Happy Christmas one and all.

Ooooh - I love that pic - I've already got it as a screensaver on my phone but it's even nicer with the sparkly bits. Thanks Jools :D

In view of today's advent pic I thought this could have been written for/about Mac?!!

The Autunm Leaves
lyrics by Johnny Mercer

The falling leaves
Drift by my window.
The falling leaves of red and gold.

I see your lips,
the summer kisses,
the sunburned hands I used to hold. ( I wish!)

Since you went away
the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Since you went away
the days grow long
And soon i'll hear old winter song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

:lv:

Anyone listen to JRT on BBC7 this morning?- he was bloody good- Northern accent & all!!

Awww, what a lovely but sad poem, tutt-sweet. It's making me think of next year when there will be no more Mac.

Saw the posts about In the Red on the Radio thread, looking forward to catching it on Listen Again tomorrow.

Hi Rosie. :hello:

The Autumn Leaves is actually a pretty well known song lyric - of the Great American Songbook variety. Sinatra used to sing it pretty well!

It made me think of no more Mac too :bawl:

Roll on Jan 4th tho'- the suspense is killing me!
