Stardust

Postby Hells » Mon Jun 12, 2006 9:46 pm

According to a member on the other forum, she recieved a letter from Julian.

He told her that he will hopefully be taking part in a film called Stardust, with Mark Heap. How big a role it will be, I am not sure, but we should find out more around Christmas time.

If you hear anything more about this then feel to post it here.

I myself have sent a letter to Julian and his agent, asking them to confirm this :)

There is a film called 'Stardust' (2007) on IMDb, which is already filming in Iceland and it has Sarah Alexander in it. No mention of MH or JRT though. Bit of a coincidence that there would be two films named Stardust.

hmm alot of big names in it, and I would have thought if Sarah Alexander is in it, then it's likely that JRT and Mark Heap are also.. I am presuming it's only a small part, ie cameo part then anything major.

According to the letter he sent, he said we should find out more at Xmas. So we'll see.

More waiting :swoon:

i think JRT is in it, because he was spotted in iceland recently. be a bit of a coincidence

Not the sort of holiday you would take nearing summer.. winter maybe.

He did report himself that he was possibly appearing in the film, and if he was spotted at an Icelandic airport, we can at least put the odds at 70-30 of him having a role, even if it's just a minor one.

Here is a link to a piece of info I got sent this morning. It's actually about Ricky Gervais being in the film and doesn't mention JRT but it does mention Sarah Alexander. It would seem there are some rather big names in it. http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/july06/fence317704.php

Also IMDb http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0486655/
now says the film is in post production but there is no mention of Julian (not even in the extended alphabetical listing). :( Perhaps he's ended up on the cutting room floor :bawl:

We'll just have to hope that good taste prevails and he does make it onto the big screen. :?

Thanks for the update on the main fansite Jools. Julian as a ghost... and with Mark Heap and Rupert Everett ?!? And another movie where Julian wears a white coat (even though it makes him look quite pale :D).

Lets hope this is the start of a flood of new work - listening to his voice is lovely, but something to look at as well is even better.

Nice pics of JUlian in 'Lizard Boy' if you click through the stills. He still has the lovely hair and the flowery shirts to go with the white coat I see. He does seem to be quite busy now, with adverts, radio plays and films. About time too!

It's wonderful to see him in such great demand. Hopefully it will stay like that for some time to come

Check out James and the Blue Cat blog today as he has a link to Adam Buxton(as in Adam and Joe)'s blog which mentions JRT in Stardust. Adam was called to replace Noel Fielding as a ghost at the last minute and talks about his experiences! http://jamesandthebluecat.blogspot.com

Ooh, so Julian has to wear loads of prosthetics then? I hope they don't try to tame the lion's mane too much!
Also, that "Actor" on JH's blog is clearly Julian as well...I can't believe he thinks that he's not funny!

You mean THIS bit?

ACTOR: I got to lie on top of her.
JAMES: ...
ACTOR: And then I bounced up and down, harder and harder, but then a policeman arrived, and now I can't talk to her anymore.
JAMES: Which bit of that's true?
ACTOR: I can't remember.

 I think Stephen Mangan has rubbed off on him if it is JRT. How'd you know?

Ahhh, just finished watching it!
Never seen it before and was happily surprised!

JRT was, obviously, the highlight of the film :D

How can he still look so good all scaley?!
