I am in an amazingly happy mood !!!

After a solid week of sewing ( 4 hours sleep a night for the last 7 days) I think i'm on top of it!!!!!

Even the Australian bridesmaid who tried her dress on today for the 1st time for a wedding on sat only needs her side seams taken in a bit and the hem done, so I may actually get some sleep tonight. Once I've finished at the theatre and done a hat fitting.

I have been assited in the many hours of sewing by to much coffee and beer but also by watching my entire JRT and John Cusack dvd collection.

Mind you the bride with the aussie bridesmaid did bring me a bottle of Rose for all my hard work

well done G&C good work at least you are getting on top of it all, that's great!

I saw mama mia last night! I love ABBA to death, pierce brosnan can't sing haha! Mery; Streep was really good though and basically it was simply awesome and relaxed me a LOT for today.

I went to the dentist this morning for my operation. they have built up the bone ready for my implants which will hopefully be in 6 months time. My face is soo swolen it's not even funny and my face is quite brusied. it's making my ache a LOT and so I'm in a bit of pain now. But it's finished and I have LOTS and LOTS of drugs for the week. but I also have to use this special mouthwash every 2 hours from tomorrow to avoid infection which I'm a bit scared about and hot salt water too which freaks me out (not too sure why)

needles and stuff were fine and I had a local annesthetic but I've been having nightmeres about being awake and stuff so I chose to be sedated too. really gald the op is over but this week will be a bit tough as I'm missing a fair few things as I have to stay at home to rest but I can't explain how great and important this was to me

I hope everyone else is doing well

Good luck with the treatment. I finally had a cap removed last week after 5 years of fighting the NHS to repair the damage a previous dentist did. After my wisdom tooth cracked another tooth I was given a cap, then my next stupid dentist decided the post was an infection and drilled into it, burning out 6 drill bits

Anyway 5 years later they finally agreed it was his fault and last week they finally removed the cap. unfortunetly it took 2 hours to do it instead of the 1 hr I was booked in for. Therefore he ran out of time and only managed to put the new post in. He didn't do the prep work or fit a temp cap.

This means I've spent the last week with a post sticking out of my tooth and if I don't concentrate while eating etc I hit it on the lower tooth and it shoots the post into a nerve!!!

My next appointment isn't until 29th July

ooh no that doesn't sound right. Kings dentist have been soo good to me because I am considered a "trauma case" I have had a lot of problems epspecially when half way through preparing for the tratment (i.e. having braces for over 2 years so that there would be more space to fit the implants and if it wasn't for that I wouldn't need them, and the root canal treatment i had along with so many many other things) they said "oh the NHS may not bother to pay because it will cost them a lot of money" that sent me into a big panic and I actually found it hard to cope for a long time because of what that twat of a guy said. so to actually have it kinda done now is a big achievement after nine and a half years.

I feel like I should be cast in the planet of the apes though as my face is that swollen that's what it reminds me of! plus it really aches, I've taken 5 different types of medication so that's about oohh 15 tablets today and my face is still aching.

plus if you don't have to SERIOUSLY! don't use warm salt water it's so horrible, it makes me want to puke! and i have to do it 5 times a day (well i say 5 it's 3 times every 2 hours) and then mouth antiseptic stuff every other hour.

I'm ok though aside from my brief blackout in the shower eariler (but i think that's because I hadn't eaten much before). and the fact that i don't think people want to visit and i feel like nobody cares but i think that's my own insecurities and i may be being a bit silly

sorry I am ranting on now...

dear Ros, you are having a rough time...poor you!
Having a sore mouth, to put it mildly is one of the worse things, it affects every aspect of your life, you just can't forget about it for a minute.
I imagine all the salt water treatment etc is to prevent any infection, so stick with it!
Keep taking the tablets! You could try using ice packs to help the swelling as well?
Hope you soon start to feel better!

thanks guys, yeah the salt water cleans the wound and stuff so as fustrating and horrible it is I know i need to keep going.

I got some visitors today which was really nice and cheered me up a LOT.

Although I wasn't sure how to react when jenny said that the swelling makes me look a bit like a hamster :o

and yeah I keep putting frozen peas on it every now and then

in a few weeks I'll be alright so don't worry about me :)

and my "under the blue sky" tickets came today even though i only confirmed to booking yesterday (well my dad did as I can't speak that well). my tickets are rather good for the cheapest ones - row B royal circle (first floor up which isn't too bad at all). and it's the day before my birthday so I'm going to demand many things from CT if i get a chance to meet her at the stage door after (mainly because my sister is OBESSED with her show so I must get a dvd signed despite the fact that I'll feel bad as I know she doens't want to be stuk with "am I bovered" being quoted at her her whole life, and I may try and get my DW poster signed because i loved her in it. Then I can try and convince her to go back to the show if she is offered!)

sorry I'm starting to ramble now! It just shows how much time I have on my hands at the moment

Well I went for the prep work at the dentist last night and it turns out when they put the post in they cracked the root which is why every now and then it moved and hit a nerve!!

So instead they had to take it out and now I have to wait until sept 23rd for the prep work for a new tooth to be fitted on Oct 14th

Thankfully it right at the back so no-one can see . Apparently they have trouble with me because of

a: the dairy allergy thing. ihad a greenstick fracture when I was 14 which is apparently really old for one. It's when the bone squashes not breaks ( serves me right for doing the conga on rollerskates!!)

b: apparently I have a very small mouth ( which makes my dad almost choke laughing whenever I say it)

Hello all not been on for a while as I've been busy getting on with the house. I have now finished the patio , built the double wall round and the steps to it. As well as concreating the fence kickboards in and cleared a big enough area to put my 15ft pool up this weekend ( just as Jake gets home).

On top of that I've wallpapered the hall and put down the underlay. Tonight I'm playing with my new jigsaw and laying the hall and kitchen floors. Plus yesterday I bought an axe to chop up the old trees and wood so I can have a real fire in the winter. Stuff paying British Gas .

Yes I HAVE done this all on my own and spent yesterday hanging my sisters wallpaper as well. Probably should go back to my girly job of making wedding dresses and hats at some point

Well my dad's a carpenter with 3 daughters all doing up houses. I'm the youngest and bottom of the list so I bought a book. Lets face it making mortar and concreate is no different to mixing cake ingredients in principle. Afterall I do make my own bread and pasta as well.

My principle is if a man is capable of doing it I can do it better. Which might explain the text I had from Dave asking me what I needed him for

Anyway building work happily taken on at the end of the wedding season. Shame someone has finished their flat

Yes I did get the hall floor down last night and I still have 10 fingers and the cats 2 tails ( one each)

Well Done G&C...time for a rest methinks? :coffee:

Used to do a bit of DIY with my late Papa, but now the dodgy knee stops me doing much.

Glad the cats are all intact...mine's under the duvet as I write - still makes a change for her not to be out chasing our little fox !

Mine keep bringing in live frogs and dropping them at my feet. Maybe I'm meant to kiss them to find a decent ( hard working) man

Mind you my mum has only just recovered from standing on a dead mouse at mine last weekend and feeling it squash.Comance has discovered the fun of going out of my bedroom window and walking along the sill to the other window. Unfortunetly last weekend he got down on to the roof and couldn't get back up. I got to the bedroom window to grab him just as he jumped towards the window.

Unfortunetly instead of aiming for either of the 2 open windows he went for the solid piece of glass inbetween ( he's the male one). All I saw was his face hit the glass like a stick on garfield then I heard scrambling as he tried to grab the tiles and when I got to the window he was sat on the patio having fallen 1 storey. He's fine and no hasn't learnt his lesson and keeps going through the upstairs windows

You need some of those 'bird' stickers that the RSPB recommend to stop birds flying into glass, as they can't see it.

Hope Comance doesn't look too much like a pekinese?!! :)

honestly you'd think I cleaned the windows or something. He's got a cut by his mouth. I told Jake about it when he called from France and he wanted to blow coey a kiss down the phone. I actualy found myself wandering across the garden and putting the phone by coey's ear

hello all I am back from my holidays. I went to Hamlet with my sister - wonderful day oh my gosh!

then we went to pontins in summerset with my best friend and my family - it was very cheesy but pretty fun.
I then went of to this christian camp with my youth group called soul survivor and it was wonderful the best week so much happened.

on the bad side I got my a-level results and I got a B for film (which was good) but then I got an E for biology (i was hoping for a D) and an E for maths (when I was hoping for a C - I got a U in two of the modules and i'm supposed to be really good at maths)

so I didn't get into uni to do the degree in september, this is upsetting but I'm kinda sorting out what I'm going to do now as I'm now doing the diploma but not until march! so in a way this is good as I can get a job and money and see many plays i need to see that are in london (although I still need to go up to newcs to see taming of the shrew) it's also better for dental reasons.
but it does mean it's going to take me longer to get the degree as I'll have to top it up after i finish the diploma (so it's technically 4 years instead of 3) but after my initial upset I'm fine so all is good

I'm off to edinburgh fest on thursday evening until monday - my friend's jazz band are playing (that's currently the only thing I'm going to see) so I'm very excited about that. Then cardiff the following weekend :)
