I second that one. Maybe we will all have to keep our eyes open for something we would all like to see. I'm sure we'll have another meet soon, probably a bit of a knees up in a pub I should imagine....but ahh the fun we shall have :D

i'd quite like to see him do some stand up comedy now and then- maybe at the brixton academy (PLUS my sister works there and always manages to get free tickets and merchandise for everything... my cunning plan! muhahahaha) i'm sure she could, if not get us all in free, reserve a load of tickets for us if i smiled sweetly at her - she got me and my friend in to mitchell and webb live for free!! it was amazing

maybe he keeps an eye on what we want although then he'd probably be running for the hills. I think we should try and all go together if possible

As the run at the National comes to an end I thought I might revive this thread. I would still love to see Julian doing some more serious acting, playing some real baddies. I saw Tim McInerny playing Iago yesterday - he was very good, but I would still love to see Julian in that role. I think he could do the cool nastiness very well.

Oh yeah, shakespeare would be cool. I wish he'd get with the touring RSC so i could go see him at the theatre near here as opposed to going all the way to London! That'd be mint! I'd so go like every night

faeriequeen wrote:Oh yes I'd totally be up for him to play the next Doctor...or even better a villian in the new series so him and the Tennant would be on screen at the same time! :swoon:

That..would be.... just... epic.

Has anyone else read the novel "The Vesuvius Club" by Mark Gatiss? I think Julian would be absolutely perfect as the main protagonist Lucifer Box! Apparently though Mark is going to play him in a TV adaptation they're doing of it...oh well.

I thought the book was fab but I'm not surprised Mark is going to play him because I think he wrote him as a sort of alto ego

I've never heard of it so will have to investigate. Take it we're all pretty much in agreement that we want to see Julian be downright nasty and evil.

Is this since a lot of us have now been lucky enough to meet him we realise he is as nice and charming as Mac and we want to prove to the world what a great actor he is?

Or is it that deep down we all prefer bad boys?

Oh Mac will always be my number one and I was extremely relieved that JRT in reality was lovely but it would just make a change and stop him from getting typecast and therefore bored and not want to do it any more.
Radio and directing may be a feast for the ears but not the eyes!
