Sat in the box office with nothing to do we're shut for 5 weeks for maintance. The new brochure isn't out til Aug no-one is ringing and I'm bored ,on top of that the builders are putting scaffolding up and are very noisey and now they've jammed the main doors open and I sit facing them. I'm cold and the rain is coming in
It's not as if they even employed any cute builders
On the plus side this is the first time in 3 weeks I haven't started the week by falling down stairs

it's still raining here too!!
All I've done all day is give refunds as the 2 shows last friday were cancelled as the street the theater is on flooded. Mini Mac's other grandparents kive just up the street and the brooks flooded into their backgarden where they had a pond full of coy carp(?) needless to say they don't have many left.
All the neighbours helped catch as many as they could but alot still escaped/swam into the river

Anther plus is actually having stairs and for them not being underwater. My Godson, who had his 5th birthday on the same day as Julian, went on a surprise trip to Disneyland Paris over the weekend. I'm wondering if they have got back home as they live not far from Upton. Fortunately his grandparents live in Brum so they won't be stranded anywhere bad.
We must all think good JRT thoughts to make us happy again and I've borrowed Hot Fuzz from the library so I think its laugh night tonight.

My mum bought me Hot Fuzz last week when she went to gloucester (Simon Peggs home town ) when she gave it me she asked if it was the right one as she couldn't see Julian listed in the credits.
Needless to say you're in for a great night Mac V mines be on my dvd player since |I got it. Well except for the occassional interuption of Julian. This is why Hippies is perfect entertainment

It's sunny here today - hope it is elsewhere.
Seriously fed up today.
Had to have one of our cats put down last night after we found her in the road. Then sat up half the night with a distraught 9 year old who can't understand the mentality of someone who would run a cat over and then leave it dying by the kerb. Mind you, neither can I.
On the plus side my normally monosyllabic teenage son reminded me that he is nice underneath the 'attitude' by being really sweet to both his sisters. Perhaps there is still hope for him!

So sorry to hear about your poor puss cat Lil. I know just how you must be feeling.
There are some very wicked people in this world ...let's hope the same thing happens to the driver or one of their family eventually!

" A few very charming ladies down at my Dad's whist drive have been very kind (average age 75-93). My brother is the headmaster of a special school and I know some of his dinner ladies have been very kind to me as well. "

Sorry to here about your cat Lil some people are just so cruel. We've had a few shot by an air riffle near where I live so everytime I hear a bang I find myself flying outside calling my 2 to make sure they're OK.
Well it's actually sunny here so of course I'm stuck at the theatre as usualand after 3 days of jumping in muddy puddles making lazy town hand puppets cooking and having fun I had to hand mini mac back to his parents,. As I walked back to my car I could already here his father yelling at him and making him cry. Both his parents are off for the next week so I won't see him at all .
Going to have to think of reasons to call in. God I'm fed up

So sorry about your poor kitty, Lil - what a horrific way to go!!!
Children are more resilient than we sometimes think (luckily!) so I hope yours will get over it in time. Chin up and keep up with your regular doses of Julian!

Snap!!! Well, pretty much!
I saw Rufus in June at The Old Vic (sensational show, by the way - you are going to love it!) and I'm currently in negotiations with a friend over dates/venues for Amy Winehouse!
Mustn't dawdle, though - Brixton Academy's sold out now!!!
Next stop eBay, I'll wager! Yikes!!!

I was in a good mood until about 5 minutes ago. Because I politely asked the incredibly unpleasant man who came into the library to stop swearing in front of the toddlers, I'm the one with the problem. One hour and 30 minutes until I get to go home, put Keen Eddie into the DVD player, and work on the Marple clips. Hopefully that should calm me down enough so that I'll no longer want to throw sharp objects.
