Got this via Google alerts today. Nice to see our GW troupe are still working with great actors.
Short films don't have to improve your mind of course. They can also provide gentle chuckles, such as Tristram Shapeero's perfectly formed ten-minute masterpiece Sidney Turtlebaum. Starring Sir Derek Jacobi in the title role, it's the story of an elderly miscreant who bluffs his way into Jewish funerals for nefarious purposes. A bit like the frat pack farrago Wedding Crashers but set in Golders Green and with a good deal less shouting. There are plans to expand the short into a full-length feature but in the meantime you can watch the trailer on YouTube tinyurl.com/6l9x4b or view an exclusive clip on Times Online at tinyurl.com/55lunv.

Tristram Shapeero- ex GW Director
" A few very charming ladies down at my Dad's whist drive have been very kind (average age 75-93). My brother is the headmaster of a special school and I know some of his dinner ladies have been very kind to me as well. "
